Which players do you think will improve most under Amorim?

Amad as I strongly believe he's more suited to playing inverted #10 than holding the line (he isn't fast enough in 1on1 vs fullbacks).
Hojlund I think will be more used as an actual footballer than a wrestler (wtf is this all about btw?). I do not expect him to be more involved than now though.
Antony I think will be used as a wingback, if we can convince him that is his last chance to have any contribution for Manchester United first team.
Mount I think is perfect for this system and frankly more suited than Bruno, but I have little hopes in him staying fit. I could just as well mention Shaw who would be superb LCB IMO. Same story, a crook.
Dalot will be flying IMO, so will be Mazraoui, Martinez.
Casemiro and Ugarte should be all fine, Mainoo I think will be able to play both midfield but also #10 if we want to be a bit stronger in buildup/possession.

I am not sure about Bruno, maybe I am wrong but I think Mount/Amad and even Mainoo would be more suited to those attacking positions behind the striker.
Rashford, no.

Whilst I agree with most of your post.. Bruno will most probably start in the 10 position. He can do what Mount can and more, he is a better creator and finisher than Mount. He will be used like Goncalves was used.

Mount suits the system really well as well, so I would like to see rotations of the 10s. In some games Bruno will suit more and in others Mount.

I feel Mount suits that position when we play better teams and Bruno when we need to break teams down.

Anthony, Rashford and Hojlund are the 3 most interesting ones for me. if he can get a tune from them then we may see a very different side.

Nobody has said it so just by that logic I'll go with Garnacho.

No idea where he fits into the system but I think he's a future star and will find a place.

Am also on the Antony train and surprised to see a few others are too, I think Wingback could work for him and if he is told to actually get to the byline and cut the ball back rather than try and dribble all the way and eventually lose the ball I think we could see a big improvement

What sort of CB talent do we have coming through?

The great thing about 3 at the back is that its perfect to develop young players in the 3rd CB role knowing you've got the extra security and help around then. Much harder to throw them into the deep end in a back 4.

Compromise is of course, that it's harder to develop CMs as it's harder risking them as them in a 2 midfield position Vs 3. But we've got Mainoo anyways.

I would probably agree with this opinion on Mount vs Bruno. I think a lot depends on how much of a system/structure Amorim wants to have. The more "structured" (each player having their role, patterns of play and movement) approach, the more MM would be the guy to use. Bruno on the other hand is the guy if you need a spark, a bit of chaos that can turn into something surprising, BUT you also need to accept more turnovers and more difficult build up play (as I doubt he'll be dropping deeper in 343).

Going back to the main question of this thread, I can see Mount benefiting massively from a system being implemented (ANY system), and in this 343 there "seems" to be an obvious place for him.

Yep but I do think Bruno can calm himself and play within a system if the system shows we create loads of chances. He will play better too.

Mount on the other hand, this is his chance right? Its the position he played his best at Chelsea. I really like the way he receives the ball when its played to him and gets others involved, a very Amorim player.

Agree on the CBs. But we’re gonna play 2 CMs and 2 ~AMs now, compared to the 2 CMs and 1 AM we played before.

Now the CMs are also better supported by wingbacks on the sides and 3 CBs behind, so I don’t agree that it will be harder to develop CMs.

Anthony can’t get any worse, so hopefully he will improve

In a couple of years, I think Kukonki could be a beast. I'd live to see him come through

Mainoo for sure up there as I'd expect any manager coming in to plug that hole in midfield and implement a system to control the middle of the pitch and not ask 1 player to cover an enormous amount of ground

Hard to tell as being a manager requires completely different qualities as being a foootballer. You should know the players personally to tell this.

Not many shoults for Rashford.

Cant see him working in an Amorim team. I hope i'm wrong, but I don't see him having the attributes required for Amorim or really any top, modern, high pressing team.

I think Mount will go from being odd man out to integral. Players that need coaching to improve would be Ugarte, Højlund, Zirkzee, Malacia, probably add Garnacho to that list for often taking the wrong option, maybe he can bring back Rashford from a couple years ago.

Dalot. He's Portuguese.

He literally sent ETH out by missing an easy chance. He can only improve from there.
