Which PL Club to choose

It's way too complicated. What sort of player you are? If you are a defender, you should be going to United to play for Mourinho. If you are midfielder and you like passing game you are better off playing for Pep at City. If you are a striker then Arsenal probably need you more than anyone and will feed you goalscoring opportunities. Do you need to win now or can you survive two, three years without trophies?

City or us. To someone with no English ties City probably edge it as slightly more enticing right now. Jose has made that much more even though IMO.

If I wasn't a fan of any PL club I'd weigh up the chances of winning the title so that would instantly rule out every team bar City and United.

Chelsea - I don't see Chelsea winning the league any time soon, even under Conte.
Liverpool - Great manager but average squad. I don't think they're willing to out spend the big clubs since they have a lack of pull.
Arsenal - Potential title winning squad with a few additions but they're bottlers, always have been always will be.
Leicester City - I can't see them making top 5, especially when they get raided for Mahrez, Vardy and Kante.
Spurs - Great young squad, won't win the league though.

I just thought with the influx of great managers in the PL now, it will be tough to choose which club and which manager to play under for, not giving too much thought about the positions.

Arsenal, just because I am a huge Wenger fan, plus he is retiring, the day he retires request for transfer and go play for Pep/Mou/Ancelloti

If i am a stiker, Arsenal seems to be a bad option as they tend to play only 1 up front and with impending Vardy's arrival, it is hard to break into the team. I thought City is a better option for being a striker unless Bony suddenly becomes a world class player. Liverpool might be an option too as you can always count on Sturridge to be lying on the treatment bed more often than not.

Hmm you do have a point but I'd still wager I can get a game over Giroud, Welbeck and Vardy (lol, not me but y'know prime PSG striker me) and stake my claim to be top dog than Aguero.

Liverpool...hmm, not a bad call. But then why would I want to leave PSG for Liverpool?

You do think Chelsea will be challenging for the title? Although they have no European commitments, I see them struggling to form a good team to challenge for the title especially with that back 4.
Why couldn't they? Leicester won it last season and they've got a lot of players that very recently won it.

Depends on who is already playing in my position and how much they actually want me.
Working under Pep or Mourinho would be an advantage more than for the likes of Benitez, Ranieri.

Easily City, United or Chelsea.

Most likely there you'll get the best wage and the best chance for a title shot.

Spurs and Arsenal are perennial bottlers, Liverpool are average as you can get, Leicester are one year freak show.

It would depend on the position I play in. I'd prefer going to a club with good chances of winning the league yet still be able to be a starter.

So why are Newcaslte an option?

If players want a bright future, I'd say United or City. Perhaps Chelsea too. CL shouldn't be that huge of a deciding factor regarding United, because we've got Jose now.

It would depend on a few factors. How good am I? What position do I play? How much would any of these clubs be willing to pay me? How would I suit the style of football of the manager?

Assuming I was good enough to play regularly for any of them, it would come down to City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal since I think they're the most likely teams to offer consistent CL football over the next 4-5 years(length of my contract). Beyond that my preference would be one of the Manchester clubs because I don't fancy Arsenal's chances of winning major silverware under Wenger and there's little stability for managers at Chelsea which could mean I end up playing for a manager who doesn't rate me six months down the line. City and United also pay the best wages which could sway me because quite frankly I think I'd be an absolute mercenary if I were a footballer.

Newcastle was an option just for the fun of it. I thought it was obvious enough.

Definitely City. You'll be paid a shitload, in a team that will challenge for the title (unlike Arsenal) and you get to play for Pep. Not sure why so many people are choosing Arsenal, most players want to win things.

Manchester City. From recent history, they have the greatest chance of winning trophies.

Really surprised at the arsenal opinions, They pay a lot less than City/United/chelsea in wages, haven't won a league title in over a decade and never get close to challenging for the champions league.

Surely has to be City currently?

United for the twitter followers/exposure.
Then fulfill my real life long dream of becoming a professional streamer on Twitch.

Imagine you (age 26) at the prime of your career, just finished a great season with PSG, and would like to test your skills in the PL next season.

All top clubs are after your signing and offering you the same wages and first team football. Which club will you choose and which manager do you think will bring out your best potential. Assuming any positions you can play and you do not have any favoritism to any club.

Man City - Pep as coach, able to play in the CL. Will be contesting for the title

Chelsea - Conte incoming, no CL to play but should be contesting for top 4

Man United - Jose revival, only Europa league and a team still in doubt after 3 years of struggle to make it into Top 4.

Personally, it will be a very tough choice for me to make but I may choose City or Arsenal. United seems to be a gamble at this point of time.
These are the only 3 that will be offering similar money. Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool wont match the spending power of United, City or Chelsea. The thing is I don't expect United, City or Chelsea to guarantee a player first team football (unless they are Galactico level) they might get that with the other 4.

At the moment, for football reasons, I would say City.

However, taking into account location, I would personally choose Chelsea. Also, it's just a matter of time till Simeone is the manager.

its got to be City or United- both new projects started by the 2 best managers about today, unless I had preconceived notions about it being a bit grim up north in which case I would probably go for Chelsea over the other London clubs as they have won something recently and are arguably in the best position to do so again soon.

The answer was Manchester United.

All of you who gave a different response will be banned as soon as possible

Thank you for your understanding

I am probably biased... If I were a player as described in the OP I would choose United. If a player helps Spurs or Arsenal to a league title they will be well regarded by a reasonably large fan base as neither team have managed to win the league in years. If a player helps City or Chelsea win the league then they will be well regarded but it will almost be an expectation.

If the player helps Utd win the league then their profile will be huge. Next summer they would likely appear in every paper, every day for the whole of June, July and August, front page of four four two and possibly FIFA 18 box...

If a team delivers the 21st title for Utd then they will become legends in one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Yes, you are very biased.

Aye. I thought so...

I still think there is a valid point in my red coloured post. The next Utd team to win the league will be revered.

I think you're entirely right. We have a far bigger fanbase than the others. You succeed here and you do far better than succeeding anywhere else.

I would go to United, not because of being biased, but because I would want to be the one to help bring the club back to glory and to the top of football. Jose as a manager would be amazing and after 2 years Ill be off to Madrid.

Alternatively I would go to Spurs. Pochettino has been amazing with the players he has and the way he had them playing was brilliant. They don't have the biggest squad or budget but he got them all working together.

If i'm joining right now, and provided every potential club is willing to meet my huge wage demands, I'd probably choose United - Perhaps it's my own bias, but I think there is potential for the creation of a strong, young core at the club and I'd be excited to be part of that.

That said, those would be factors for me. I could easily understand why someone would choose City ahead of us. They seem in a better position to challenge in the immediate future and Guardiola is as much a draw as Mourinho. Arguably more so for a lot of players. They can also offer CL football straight away.

Leicester have had their time. Joining them would be like joining Blackburn the season after they won the league.
Arsenal - I just wouldn't have much faith in their ability to compete for the best trophies.
Liverpool - Klopp would be a draw, but they're a notch below the best.
Tottenham - They do look like building something strong and have a good core of talented young players. But it's Tottenham.
Chelsea - not right now. I'd wait to see if last season was a one-off or if it was a sign of a more deep-rooted rot.
