Imagine you (age 26) at the prime of your career, just finished a great season with PSG, and would like to test your skills in the PL next season.

All top clubs are after your signing and offering you the same wages and first team football. Which club will you choose and which manager do you think will bring out your best potential. Assuming any positions you can play and you do not have any favoritism to any club.

Man City - Pep as coach, able to play in the CL. Will be contesting for the title

Arsenal - Wenger as usual, able to play in the CL. Tends to fight for the title but slumps out of it at the end.

Chelsea - Conte incoming, no CL to play but should be contesting for top 4

Leicester City - Claudio miracle, CL to play in but key players might be leaving

Spurs - Pochettino in charge, CL to play and good team to challenge for another top 4

Liverpool - Klopp resurgent, no European commitment but with a potential sqaud to challenge top 4, if not the title as always they claimed.

Man United - Jose revival, only Europa league and a team still in doubt after 3 years of struggle to make it into Top 4.

Newcastle - Rafa insanity, throwing your career away and play for one of the best manager in the world (RAWK's claim)

Personally, it will be a very tough choice for me to make but I may choose City or Arsenal. United seems to be a gamble at this point of time.

Preferabaly last season's winner (probably not leicester since it's a freak win), the one who pays the most, and the one who got stable manager.

I would love playing with either Jose or Pep, not so much Conte.

I would love to play for Jose too but United doesn't seem like the best bet at the moment.

Don't think there's much difference between the top clubs to be honest. If money isn't an option than I'd probably go with one of United/City/Chelsea because according to recent history and potential they offer the best chance of a title. United offer the biggest potential player image growth. With a lot of factors being the same it will depend a lot on the manager and the decision could only be made after hearing from any one of them.

United or city, depending on who you are and your position. If you never grew up idolising United and/or the PL then you'd be more likely to go for Pep, money and the champions league. Unless you don't think you'd get a game that is.

You do think Chelsea will be challenging for the title? Although they have no European commitments, I see them struggling to form a good team to challenge for the title especially with that back 4.

If you leave PSG for EPL it's usually because you're not good enough so I would say Spurs, Liverpool or Leicester City. Newcastle if you're really that bad.

If you're Zlatan you do what the feck you want.

If people overlook us this season we certainly can surprise them and challenge.

Arsenal. Good wages, good location, CL, relaxed environment.
And if you have a ripped body you have many chances throughout the season to showoff your topless selfies.

But on a serious note, it should be City right? Pep, CL football, strongest squad.

If United were in CL, it will be easily United. More massive globally, so much more exposure, and there is Jose. But, as a footballer if you have no affiliation to either clubs, CL must be the determining factor.

Its not quite that simple. Players do have preferences of which club and manager to play for. The club they supported or followed growing up and the manager they deem can get the best out of them would probably tip the scales towards whichever club/manager combination that is.

That said, nobody in their right mind would go to Leicester when they are losing their top players and there are big clubs who want them.

Manutd - stadium, money, history and future, facilities, jose, team has positions in the first 11 easily up for grabs.

Actually go to Arsenal and in two years time you'll end up at one of the big three anyway

Would depend on these four things: Manager, Location, Wage, How easy it is to break into the squad.

Would depend on the position I play in.

If I was a striker, I'd be going to Arsenal. Wenger, London, comparative to PSG? , Giroud & Welbeck for competition.
Midfielder...City/United.

Can't be arsed to do the rest.

By going to Arsenal, you are inevitably eliminating the chance of going to other clubs in PL unless Wenger does another 'RVP' .

If i am a stiker, Arsenal seems to be a bad option as they tend to play only 1 up front and with impending Vardy's arrival, it is hard to break into the team. I thought City is a better option for being a striker unless Bony suddenly becomes a world class player. Liverpool might be an option too as you can always count on Sturridge to be lying on the treatment bed more often than not.

Whoever pays the most and seems most likely to challenge.
In other words, It's between Chelsea, City, United and Arsenal.

Out of those, Arsenal may challenge, but they are serial bottlers.
Chelsea has just had a shit season.
United is still struggling after Sir Alex retired.
So that leaves City.

Or Nasri, Clichy, Toure, Cole, Adebayor.

If I was being completely neutral, looking at it from an outsider perspective, City would be the clear choice as they tick all the boxes that count. Top manager, World class players and guaranteed incoming stars, money, CL etc. After that, I'd be looking at Arse and Chelsea. Arse have CL, Chelsea will spend and will be competing next season, both are in London and this would be a big plus.

Out of the rest, it'd be close between United and Liverpool. Both have history and top managers, with similar level squads. Tottenham would be just under these two, they're in London and have CL football, but also a resent history which suggests they won't win a league anytime soon.

Arsenal if they could convince me that they're going to actually win something some time soon. Would be wary of what might happen when Wenger leaves though.

If not them it would be between United and City. United because we'd probably pay better, City because they're in the CL.

This sentence just reminded me about the GD we lost out for CL. Gosh, how much difference it would make if we have just 1 more point.

Arsenal- can pick up pretty wage in a nice location with no expectations other than finishing in the top 4 and above Spurs. Like a paid holiday.

Robin Van Persie
Samir Nasri
Gael Clichy
Bacary Sagna
Emmanuel Adebayor
Kolo Toure
Ashley Cole
even Cesc Fabregas eventually ended up at a rival club.

Arsenal I think, decent money, London, good football. At worst you still get to play CL football every year.

United, Chelsea or City. But City probably win it as they have CL straight away..

Chelsea. I'd be like that guy who were benched for 3-4 season on a £30'-£45' week contract!

As United-man I'd have a go at a chance to be the reborn King. With Mourinho in, we're certain to fight for a top 4 next season.

Has to be City or us.

Go to City for the money, the chance to play under Pep and be in a team of superstars.

Come to us for the chance to be help bring one of the major European clubs back to the top.

For a genuinely top player i don't see any other choice. Chelsea are going through the doldrums, Arsenal are not winners and Leicester are a one off.

We probably pay a much as City these days, don't we?

The player was at PSG?

WHo is offering the most £££?

OP says all clubs offering first team football and the same money, yet everyone cites better money and playing time in their reasoning

For me it would really depend on what position I was looking to be playing in. Then it would be a case of determining which team would be easier to break into for that position, and whether the other areas of the pitch were good enough to push for the title in all other areas.
