Which late 20's/early 30's real madrid player will we sign this summer?

Not sure if on topic but what the hell happened to Isco? He looked unplayable for a few seasons there. Maybe Hazard if he could keep up with Ten Hag's sprints in pre season.

Benzema would be great but he's obviously not leaving.

Besides him no other 30+ year old I would take. Kroos and Modric are good but declining fast.

The young ones though, Vinicius, Valverde, Camevinga, Tchouameni get them.

I mean Modric isn't "declining fast", he's still one of the best midfielders in the world somehow at his age.

Would Mateo Kovacić count, by way of Chelsea of course (and not directly from Madrid)? :)

Has won 4 Champions League titles (in varying capacities), reached a World Cup final and semi-final, satisfies the age criterion, probably a good move for everyone concerned (the player needs a change of scenery by the look of things, and United needs a crafty ball progressor), and any such deal is not going to be prohibitively expensive given his contract situation.

None of the current candidates would be good enough for long enough. It's time for us to go young.

we gave you Casemito. You should just hand us half your clubs shares, nevermind taking other players
Ah yes the Japanese player who played for Kawasaki Frontale and runs like Naruto

Naruto-running is Mbappé's secret superpower, it is known

PS: mito = hero/legend in spanish

Let's give RM a break. How about some one good from Barcelona?

Then wait for when Madrid comes for Garnacho.. Oh and they will come!

We beat Liverpool in 2 separate CL finals, we might have broken them for good in Paris, and might be kicking them out of CL for the 4th time in the last 6 years

Not enough!
That's your own fault

Embarrassing thread. We already have an older midfield, so Kroos would be a terrible signing. Not sure he adapts to the league like Casemiro anyways. Benzema is intriguing but at 35, he may want to simply retire at Madrid. Tired of stop gap solutions, just purchase Osimhen and be done with the number 9 problem.

What is his contract situation? If it is winding down and possibly a free transfer, it would be a marvellous deal for us I think. Really like him.

Valverde is a beast but he won't come or he won't be sold. If they sign Jude , definitely one of Tchouameni/ Cama /Valverde is up for grabs ?
If they sign Mbappe, definitely Vini can't stay there?

May be sign Benzema this season and then Kane for free next summer?

I don't even think he could even keep up with ten hag walking pace in pre season let alone sprints

Expires next summer, according to Transfermarkt and numerous media reports...
Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s priorities are to extend the stays of impending free agent Kante and Mason Mount, whose current contract expires in June 2024. Kovacic’s existing deal runs out at the same time. Yet, to date, there have been no serious discussions about committing him to Chelsea beyond that point.
The Athletic: Will Mateo Kovacic still be a Chelsea player beyond the summer?

A transfer fee of £30-40 million in the 2023 summer mercato would be good value for money (provided there are no overriding fitness concerns). :)

Nice one! Yeah if we could sort a reasonable fee it could be a target well worth chasing. I do think we should get Sabitzer for good also, and I am expecting to see a fair bit of transfer outgoings from us in the summer. Targeting more quality than quantity hopefully.

Can't we have Osimhen and Benzema

I don't see that as an issue. What about Modric on a one year deal? I just watched him run the show last week at Anfield. He might be 37 but he still looks world class to me.

I love Modric but that ship sailed over a decade ago. He’s never leaving Madrid.

Lunin is too young, but could he be our next #1? I haven't seen much of him so no take, but seems highly rated.
