Which has been the best superhero film?

SUPERMAN (Brandon Routh) - Actually shockingly poor
BATMAN (Christian Bale) - Was ace. Im hoping either Carrey (again) or Depp gets to be a crazy riddler at some point
SPIDERMAN - I never liked spiderman as a kid, still these films amused me. Bone Saw made the 1st movie, and I'm probably that only person that found his 10 minutes of cheese in the 3rd one hilarious
X-MEN - Watchable if only because it's X-Men and automatically awsome. glad that cyclops got blown away as i've always hated him, pissed off that rogue sucked and gambit wasnt in it! he is clearly the coolest by a mile. cnuts!
FANTASTIC FOUR - A big pile of wank
HULK - couldnt manage to sit through it
DAREDEVIL - terrible!!!
IRON MAN - will see it when i can download a good enough copy. my mate is a massive iron man fan and keeps banging on about how amazing it was
ELEKTRA - seen bits of it. cack
BLADE - Enjoyed :) the HHH cameo in the 3rd one makes me chortle
HELLBOY - feckING TERRIBLE!!!!! I WENT TO THE PISSING CINEMA TO WATCH THIS SHIT!!!
Punisher - fecking awsome, you know your onto a winner when Travolta is the bad guy.

Anyone else think that cable is the most badass xmen ever and should have been kicking ass through all three movies?

Punisher was awful.

Superman was more of a love story then an action film. I thought it was complete rubbish. The Batman series has always been good for cheap entertainment, but Batman Begins was actually a quality picture with a different spin on things. DarkKnight looks to be in the same mold.

There's a new captain America to look forward to next year I believe.

Nah, its on hold for now. There are no Marvel movies coming out next year. 2010 will see the Iron man sequel and a Thor movie. And then 2011 will see the mother of em all - The Avengers.

Speaking of which, did anyone of you see the coda at the end of Iron Man, with Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury recruiting Iron Man for the Avengers ?
Also, if the grapevine is to be believed, IronMan/Nick Fury will be in the Incredible Hulk movie as well trying to get him to join the Avengers. Way cool.

Batman Begins, Superman II and now IronMan are considered to be the best of the lot I think. For me, its Batman Begins over everything else and by a big margin too. However, I expect TDK to blow everything else ever made to obscurity.

Tim Burton's Batman is my personal favourite superhero movie.

I was a little kid when I saw it in cinema... I was stunned by everything.

The Joker played by Nicholson was amazing, Michael Keaton as Batman, Batmobile, fight scenes, vision of Gotham... everything.

Awesome.

Spider-Man 2 is my favourite, then Iron Man. Batman Begins is excellent and so is the Director's Cut of DareDevil which is like a completely different film.

Superman was terrible. I can't remember much about it.

Batman Begins was very good. Not many others spring to mind.

I'll probably get slated for this, because for some reason lots of people don't like it, but Unbreakable is one of my favourite films of recent years, and can be classed as a superhero movie.

Of the last couple of years. We've had:

SUPERMAN (Brandon Routh) - really surprised by this. Good story, involved, great set pieces 9
BATMAN (Christian Bale) - darkest of Batman movies. Good story but needs to be darker still 8
SPIDERMAN - I really like this. I think Raimi has done a really good job with this. Only downside is that the baddies are crap 8
X-MEN - Decent set of films but generally left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. With such a canvas (world population of mutants), expected it to be more epic 5
FANTASTIC FOUR - OK, on par with X-Men 5
HULK - really shit. The CGI Hulk didn't work 0
DAREDEVIL - Didn't work for me 1
IRON MAN - Decent story, Downey impressive 7
ELEKTRA - shit actress. If Daredevil is anything to go by then 1
BLADE - haven't seen it so can't rate it.

Batman is 6 at best.Spiderman 6 too.Superman is shit and pretty kiddish.

Iron man and Downey are very good indeed.

Just a great movie. Very under-rated.

I read an interview of Shyamalan recently, and he is supposed to be giving serious thought to completing the Trilogy that this was originally intended to be. Would love to see the screenplays for those.

I think it's one of the worst movies ever made.

Not seen it for years, but I just recall thinking it was rubbish, like all his films bar Sixth Sense. Still, it wasn't as bad as Signs(?). Which has to be the worst film ever made. Interstellar aliens who can navigate the universe but have problems getting their way around the earth without crop circles. Not only that but they're allergic(if that's the right word) to water. You'd have thought they would've realised that the Earth was 2/3 water. Oh well. Nowt like a shite film by a shite director.

Have to agree with you on Signs. It was bollocks.

Have a re-watch of Unbreakable if you ever get the chance though. Maybe its just my taste, and all the reviews I've read are either love it or hate it, but I thought it was highly original. The only thing I didn't really like was the poorly executed sub-plot of Bruce and his wife, but aside from that, brilliant.

If you still don't like it after a re-watch, then you're probably a bender or something.

It took at least an hour for me to get into this movie. Don't rate it very highly

BATMAN (Christian Bale) - darkest of Batman movies. Good story but needs to be darker still 8

Easily the best comic book movie (haven't seen Iron Man yet, mind)

SPIDERMAN - I really like this. I think Raimi has done a really good job with this. Only downside is that the baddies are crap 8

1 was good, 2 was fairly decent, 3 was a steaming pile of horse turd.

X-MEN - Decent set of films but generally left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. With such a canvas (world population of mutants), expected it to be more epic 5

See Spiderman

FANTASTIC FOUR - OK, on par with X-Men 5

Really enjoyed the first one, not so much the second

HULK - really shit. The CGI Hulk didn't work 0

Spot on

DAREDEVIL - Didn't work for me 1

IRON MAN - Decent story, Downey impressive 7

Haven't seen it

CRAP!

Same

Superman Returns (is the name of the Routh film has been the best of the recent ones, and to little suprise imo great director, Bryan Singer who did X-Men but took Superman instead of X3 I actually thought X:2 was really good though way better than the others, I wish they would have had Gambit as part of the squad though

I agree about gambit. I mean what the feck were the producers thinking not including him?
I won't even get started with them killing off Cyclops (Leader of the xmen!).

The first movie had potential, the second saw the series peak and the third saw it take a nose dive into a big fat steaming pile of Horse Shite!

Batman wins.

Then Ironman.

But if Blade can really be called a superhero movie then that's worthy of second place.

The rest have been shite, bar Spiderman which was watchable.
