Gaming Which footballer did you discover on a video game before they became good in real life?

I signed Yoro in my FM24 beta save with Man Utd (and I’m probably not the only one).

On a different level, I signed Josh Sargent for Norwich about 6 months before he moved in real life, and way before any rumours occurred. Bit of a reality question when I saw he had actually signed.

Kim Kallstrom and Van Der Vaart in like 01/02 I think

Arjen Robben when at Groningen
Yeah!

It's years since I stopped playing Football Manager - it was actually still when it was called Championship Manager.

The main years were end of the 90's and first few years of the 00's - just before the game started to get ever increasingly complex to play.

Definitely remember finding out about those three - I think Robben already had a deal in place to join PSV whenever the game started on the year I played the most, which was always frustrating!

Also Pablo Aimar and Javier Saviola, while they were still teenagers at River Plate.
