Where are all the yanks??

Come on like back then the likes of Barkley, Malone and Rodman were saints?.
Watch the Suns Spurs series and if you stillthink basketball has lost its appeal then i guess you are too far gone.

NBA is shit. Gone are the guys like Stockton, Magic, Barkley, Jordan, Hakeem, etc. Now you got the ghetto boys and there 21 man posses more worried about their bling and dunks than their fundamentals.

NHL lost me due to the strike (though I must say "Go Stars!")

MLB is boring. I'll watch some of the post-season though. I used to love baseball, played it from age 8 through my high school days. Now I find 99% of games too boring to watch more than 3 innings.

For me, there is only college and pro football in the US sports scene. Thank God for the networks carrying football (soccer) coverage

I don't know about all that (in regards to NBA). I saw a figure somewhere that said free throw percentages were better now than they were 20 years
ago.

As far as sports in general, I'm not really a huge baseball fan. If I go to games, I just go to chill our for a couple of hours and have a bag of peanuts. Like Mr. Marcello, I'm really a HUGE college sports fan in general and specifcally a fan of my old uni. But I will say that for pure intensity sake, nothing is better than the NHL playoffs. They get after it.

My teams:

NCAA: Texas A&M
NFL: Houston Oilers (now known as Tenn. Titans)
NHL: NY Rangers (f'n sabres)
NBA: Chicago Bulls (looks like a sweep is likely. Maybe we should just submit the Detroit Pistons as our national team. They already have the right color scheme)
MLS: I don't have any team in particular
MLB: Texas Rangers

im a yank, id be posting in here more but i dont care about hockey or baseball, the wizards are already out of the NBA playoffs, so ive lost most of my interest in that, and its not (american) football season, so its not worth much to me

I started following the Rangers when there were 6 teams in the NHL. I still refer to the Phoenix team as the Winnepeg Jets and the folks in Denver as the Nordiques. It's also fun to refer to the Devils as the Kansas City Scouts as the current band-wagon fans don't have the slightest idea about the history of the league.

Damn i had no idea you were from the greatest generation

Good on you Mate
