I think Newcastle are on course to win it in 2026-27. We'll be the next Newcastle. Do the math.
On a more serious note, i agree with those who are ringing the alarm bells. City are very alluring to younger generations who, in the current climate, couldn't care less where their money comes from. Not just the "plastics", as some may call them, but kids with a genuine interest in the sport. It's a weird thing, too, being at the receiving end of all the irony, sarcasm or vitriol from the people who used to hate our guts, while, at the same time, being perceived as an old relic by the next generation. We are of no interest to the world outside our failures.
Which is the point, really. There's no need to awaken the "sleeping giant" because he's dead. Accept that and move on. Realise where we are, what we're doing wrong and that "change" isn't just an empty word hidden behind throwing money into a bottomless pit to pretend we're still among the big boys. The only sad thing is that SAF probably won't get the chance to see United win the PL again. It was such an emotional moment when Busby saw the curse finally being lifted.
