What's the problem.

Another good performance from John O'Shea, even though out of position.

We were away from home against a team that was on a high after beating Leeds away and getting new players.

Last season we had games like this. Chance after chance against West Ham at OT - but we lost that one and then went on a great run.

If we hadn't outplayed Sunderland, and hadn't made chances, we might have something to complain about.</strong><hr></blockquote>

excellent post Livvie, at the moment the only problem seems to be scoring! even Veron had a good game for his standards against Sunderland

We're not taking them, that's the problem. I've noticed in all the games so far (disregarding the Zala game), we've missed many chances, chances that we'd normally put away.

Its a race not a sprint. We're clearly not firing on all cyclinders yet, but I'd be worried if we were. Arsenal came blasting out the starting gate but are suffering when teams press them.

We'll start converting chances soon enough. Hopefully against Boro - we owe them big time.

We'll have to be on form too. McClaren has got them organised, and made some shrewd signings.

Should be a good game.

You're right. I'm not at all worried. I think, and the stats back me up, we've improved on last season. If we were half-way through the season, I'd be worried, the signs are good at the mo IMO.

In this match our style was sometimes to ambitious. United used to be invincible once we were 1 - 0 up. Now I find our game is too reliant upon keeping posession. Quick counter attacking opportunities go amiss. And we end up controlling posession for most part without really controlling the game.

Obviously it's important to be able to keep possession. But I miss a bit of variation. A more direct approach sometimes when we're ahead.
