What would be your transfer / personnel strategy in the coming transfer windows?

I think overall our squad has a good blend of youth and experience and would aim to maintain this with our incomings and outgoings.

There are 4 main positions we should look to strengthen being; CB, RB, CDM, RW.

In regards to outgoings, I'm on the same page as most but would also try to sell Lukaku as he has too many limitations and feel that he would disrupt the squad harmony if he was on the bench for too long. Rashford's performances in recent games proves that he can lead the line but we should sign a RW with a prolific goal scoring ability to reduce the pressure on him.

Ins

CB - Koulibaly. Nothing to say here. Just pay the money.

RB - Meunier. Good age, crossing ability and would add height to our backline which I feel we lack. Would also give time for Dalot to develop, who can fill in at LB for Shaw.

CDM - Doucoure. Maybe not the biggest name or the most talented but would add depth to our squad and compete with Matic and Herrera for both of their roles. He's also PL proven so wouldn't take time to settle in to the league.

RW - Dembele. If we managed to recoup at least £50-£60m for Lukaku our net outlay on this position would make this move viable. Bags of talent, and would fit in with a fluid front three alongside Rashford & Martial.

Squad

GK - De gea, Romero, Pereira/Henderson

FB - Dalot, Meunier, Shaw, Young

Winter 18/19

Sommer 19:

Dybala depends if Juventus like to swap with Lukaku.
Squad:
GK: De Gea, Romero, Grant
FB: Hernandez, Sidibe, Shaw, Dalot
CB: Koulibaly, De Ligt, Jones, Tuanzebe
CM: Matic, De Jong, Herrera, Pogba, Mata, McTominay
ATT: Rashford, Martial, Dybala, Lingard, Sanchez

A lot of change espacially in the defense, but I think in case of the price of the selling players and the buying players that would be a nice variant and gives Tuanzebe chance for playtime.

Don't actually think United are going to do much business this winter: I think part of what Ole is trying to achieve is giving every player in the squad a fair crack at proving themselves then identifying where the squad is really weak rather than who was just underperforming because of Jose. A couple might get sold if a good enough offer comes in (Fellaini/Valencia/Pereira/McTominay/Darmian), but that might be it.

Summer

In: De Ligt, De Jong,
Out: Jones (out of contract), Valencia, Fellaini, Sanchez, Pereira

CB: De Ligt, Tuanzebe, Smalling, Lindelof, Bailly, Rojo*
FB: Shaw, Dalot, Young, O'Connor, Laird
CM: Pogba, De Jong, Herrera, Matic, Fred, Gomes
Attack: Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, Lingard, Lukaku

Jones would be out because he's out of contract, and I would try and get Rojo out, but seeing as he just signed a new contract last year it might not be possible for him to leave. Tuanzebe would be back from his loan. De Ligt despite being young, is a leader already. He'll be great coming out from the back and his size adds steel at the same time. Tuanzebe has always been described as a leader since being in the academy, and his instincts when defending are excellent.

Midfield would become more press resistant with De Jong, and Gomes integrated into the side. It would be more dynamic because De Jong would be in place of Matic and he's more mobile who can also dribble forward. These two additions also make United better at dominating possession. Side also becomes better in attack as any midfielder can cut you open with a through ball, and any midfielder can dribble forward. Would be a big help against City where we collectively always look short on time and technically deficient.

In attack I would integrate Greenwood into the side and he can play anywhere across the front 3. I would keep Lukaku as a super sub. If Greenwood does well, I would make him the #9 and move Rashford out wide. However, all 3 would interchange with one another as they're all comfortable as the 9, or out wide. Because I would break the bank for De Jong and De Ligt, I don't think it's possible to spend huge on a right winger. My ideal target is Jadon Sancho and I would think he would want another year of development at Dortmund before wanting to move. As I feel that's the case, making him the primary target in 2020 would complete my vision for the side.

I've gone for a younger side full of talent and technical ability. As I look at other sides, a lot of them are rather old which is obviously fine in this instant. However, as Messi and Ronaldo age, it's hard to find a guaranteed favorite to dominate Europe. PSG is currently building a great young side with Neymar, Mbappe, Kimpembe, Marquinhos, Verratti, etc... This is why I don't want them to get De Jong.

In:
CB (We know the list. Quite a few strong CBs to choose from)
RB (Wan Bissaka)
CM (God knows who our scouts will find?)

Out:

Darmien
Jones
Rojo
Valencia

I'd keep Sanchez because I'd rather judge him after a run of games under Ole. He might prove to be absolutely lethal and interchange from the RW into the central areas.

100% agree on De Jong and Di Ligt. Would sort important positions for the club for 10 years.
Would add Tierney if we can afford him and he wants to leave Celtic before winning 10 in a row. Shaw is the better defender, but Tierney is far better going forward.
Dortmund seems reluctant to let Sancho leave this Summer, but might come the summer after that. Should be in for him.

Would sell Fred and Lukaku as well if we are able to replace them with more usefull players like Barella and Jovic.

1. CB (De Ligt or Skriniar)
2. CM (De Jong or Neves)
3. RB (Wan-Bissaka)

4. RW (Sancho or Pepe)
5. LB (Tierney or Chilwell)

1-3 is positions I’d definitly improve. RW & LB slightly more luxurytransfers.

Cost us around £450m to get those Seven new players ?

Easy to say 'only' around £180m investment but that's the scale of change I believe we need, and even then I'd still hope we would be in the market should a superstar ((Mbappé) become available.

Can you be our next director of football please? Seriously those in and outs are pretty much exactly what I'd like to see happen. I don't think Lukaku is going anywhere though I have to say.

kinda like this but reckon we still need another creative player and a better Left Back

maybe another window for those

think we'd be doing very very well to get Sancho for 70m

Great post, what about Chong and Garner?

For a start I'd finally get rid of all the trash that we've accumulated. Jones, Valencia, Fellaini, Rojo, Darmian, Mata, McTominay.

I don't think we should be buying more than 4 first team players. It's too much to integrate at once and I think a lot of our players are showing their worth under a positive manager. I think we need someone who can own the following positions - central defender, right back, central midfielder and a right sided attacking midfielder.

Players that I'd let go would be Jones, the Argentinean Jones, Valencia, Fellaini. I'd probably try and shift Alexis to China to offload his wages but if he stays, he stays. I like Mata a lot but if a decent bid came in I wouldn't be against him leaving either especially if we succeed in getting a new midfielder and right sided player.

After not spending much last summer and with some funds coming in I think we could spent the type of money Liverpool invested last year. For right back if Meunier is available at a reasonable price maybe him but I like the idea of Wan-Bissaka. Young, English, good performer and a high ceiling. Dalot could provide competition for him and Shaw. I think Lindelof has shown himself as the best defender at the club with the other options being a bit crap so someone of genuine quality to partner him. Koulibaly, Skriniar or someone of that ilk. Wouldn't be massively disappointed with Alderweireld at 25m either. For midfield I'd go all out for Eriksen. A midfield of Pogba, Eriksen and Herrera would be the best in the world by some distance for some time. DO IT. Not sure who'd be available for the RW/RF position. Isn't Douglas Costa more of a LW? Perhaps he'd be worth a punt if he can play well on the right.
