Spurs did it on the back of the Bale money, we don't even have a player now who could bring in that sort of money. We would have to sell half the team to get that income.
Fergie had the experience of winning stuff, even when he first joined United. Moyes has won nothing, you wonder how much respect the multi title winning players have for him.
A successful summer would be not getting publicly rejected by any other players. That's the best we can hope for I think. No way we're signing anyone now.

Real must be nuts spending that kind of money on Bale. He's good but he's not that good. Even so, Tottenham isn't a poor club and they would have spent regardless.
Do you mean potential transfer targets or players already in the squad? I know it's very early days yet but there are players who've won everything from European Cups to multiple league titles at United. You have to think that they're somewhat skeptical about Moyes, a guy they don't know and has everything to prove. Might be a bit of tension there. Also, you have to wonder about Moyes' efforts to sign Everton players and the departure of the backroom staff.
Fellaini and Herrera tomorrow is still a good summer I suppose.

This is a summer I just want to forget now. I've been pretty unaffected by all the hoopla so far. But the Ozil thing has done my head in.
