It was a toss up between 360 and N64, they are easily the best IMO
I loved the N64 controller when playing Zelda, but I also liked keyborad and mouse for games like unreal tournament.
I'm still to find one that I really like; the wii remote is good when playing wii sports, but I don't play any games other than that on it, and my knackered hand makes some of the button combos awkward on the Xbox/PS/Megadrive controllers.
The old PS1 and PS2 controller, good God they were sexy as feck. Good old days.

Even though I'll be switching back to the Playstation(had and PS1 and PS2), I've always found the Xbox controller to be more comfortable.
So I'm going to go with that, as I can hardly remember what the Nintendo 64 felt like, since I was only around 6 when my brother let me play it.(which was rare.)

I voted N64 but it was a toss up between that and the Xbox 360 controller. The 360 is probably better technically but the N64 holds fond memories and is probably the only controller I've been able to play FPS's well with other than Mice and Keys.
No PC Controllers? I would have voted for that, but I love the playstation controllers @
@The NES controller has never been bettered in my opinion, the size, shape , give in the d-pad is all perfect. If I play Tetris first with a NES pad and then with the cumbersome modern pads, the difference is night and day.

I think the X360 basically perfected the modern controller, hard to top it. I know so many people who've gone MS over Sony purely for the controller.

Ayo Dreamcast was brilliant. It was a fighting-game fans dream. Had all the best fighters. And Shenmue and Powerstone... loved those games. It just didn't do well in mainstream market.

Having tried many controllers ,the Xbox 360 Wireless works for me . I use it with Xpadder to control windows and pc games.

Not true. Soul Calibur, Shenmue 1&2, Powerstone 1&2, Typing Of The Dead, House Of The Dead 2, Virtua Tennis 2, Jet Set Radio, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Crazy Taxi, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Skies Of Arcadia... these are just some games from the top of my head. I only got a Dreamcast towards the end of its life as I was put off by mainstream media but I knew it was amazing as soon as I looked at the games library...

One more thing to add ,if you you buy the wireless version make sure that it comes with a reciever, or it won't work.

Get the rock candy Xbox 360 controller. It's 3rd party but officially endorsed by Microsoft. It's a great controller and a lot cheaper.
I miss the Xbox 360 controller tbh, PS controller is awesome too but I enjoyed Fifa better on the Xbox.
Gamecube pad was perfection, N64 would be my runner up. 360 pad is very comfortable. I don't know who the hell is choosing the Playstation pads in this poll

I don't have big Hands I must admit. But I hate the d pad on the Xbox, it's just one big button and I used to play pro evo with a d pa. having said that, I don't use the d pad anymore so that wouldn't really be an issue anymore. Still, the ps controller fits in my hand perfectly and the Xbox one feels too big for me.

Xbox 360 controller with the Gamecube one as a close second. Don't see what more you could want than the 360 controller; it's perfect. The Playstation controllers seem awful after using that for a prolonged period, and the N64 one is a bit shit to begin with on some games because of the joystick (Super Smash Brothers, for example).
Playstation, simply for the nostalgic value. Crash Bandicoot created an emotional attachment to that controller/console that I will never shake

Got the wireless version quoted at 60 dollars, which I thought is a bit steep for a laptop controller, so I called a few shops here and there and got a controller (not Xbox or PS, another type) for 17 dollars, I'll pick it up in an hour. It's wired, I don't have a problem with that.
