What is the best "meaningless" goal?

Also, any excuse to watch this again.

Not really meaningless, but 3rd goal in a 4-0 win.

Also Benteke's bicycle kick for Liverpool at OT. Not a friendly but it was a brilliant goal that got no reaction at all when it happened. Then immediately got deleted into a non event a few mi utes after by Martial scoring on his debut and Martin Tyler having an orgasm over it.
This was the first one that sprung to mind for me. Even funnier that Benteke scored it.

Didn't Evra score a proper rocket of goal away at Bayern when they knocked us out of the CL once? I think he made it 0-1, but in the end it didn't mean much.

In my mind that goal was at home but just checked and your right. I would have sworn I saw that goal live for some reason.

Did welbeck try to chip neur when he was clean through or something? I was deffo at the home match but for some reason Evras goal was my overriding memory..

If we're including late goals that were scored to basically take the piss in matches that were already won...

2-0 up in the 90th minute, and instead of dicking around and wasting time, Calhanoglu decides to do his best Juninho Pernambucano impression from 45 yards out.

Rooney scored an absolutely blinding free kick v city one time when we got scudded 4-1. Even Antony scored a worldie v City when they battered us 6-3.

Yeah. Also my scouse supporting mate watching it with us and remaining fairly unannoyed by it all until Tyler basically completely ignored the goal even happening

This is the one I was going to mention. Barely a word said about it, one of the most underrated goals I've ever seen due to the circumstances

Cavani vs Fulham last game of the season in 2021. There was even 5-10k fans back in stadium for that one I believe.

Sorry to be a bit pedantic fellow posters, just have to get this off my chest...
There's been some great goals posted but, can we just clarify that goals in international friendlies and games already won/lost by a comfortable margin are not "meaningless!"
They may not have led to a win but they are still official games where the goals count towards the player's career total or winning the top scorer award.
I was thinking the OP meant non official games like pre-season/charity matches or goals eventually disallowed.

Yeah, put us ahead on aggregate and it went fecking mental then by the time we'd finished celebrating they'd already equalised

I think Balotelli's goals are memorable. How he bullied the defenders by going into the 6 yard box and then score.

Not sure it's been mentioned, but Andreas Pereira scoring a beauty in some pre season fixture a few years back.
