It doesn't matter, if they are silly they are silly, if I was a mod and I infracted you for nothing or something small, I've still done something stupid. I shouldn't say to you 'you've still got loads left' because it doesn't matter, you could do 14 more and by rights still be safe if I hadn't infracted you for nothing, however because of what I've done, you're not. The fault somehow gets passed on to you when the fact is if I hadn't of done it to you in the first place, we wouldn't have been here.
You're allowed 15 points, but if some get taken up by points that shouldn't be there in the first place, then there's a principle in there somewhere.
My main point was around how GB dealt with me that day, and how I just let it dissolve, forgot about it and moved on and now it's right as rain and I don't have any issues with him and consider him to be a good bloke. If I sent PMs like that to mods I'd be banned. Some things are just best left alone to dissolve.
You're not 'allowed' 15 points. It's a generous guideline which most perm bans are enforced way before.
Him not having banned under his username doesn't mean he isn't banned, just as the reverse is true.
It's generous if they're are left intact and you actually have 15, it's not so generous if some of them are taken up for next to nothing.
The fact that he's been infracted for calling someone a cnut occasionally and people agree with this, yet I've just detailed an occasion where an admin has responded to me in the same tone with a much more aggressive manner and nobody bats an eyelid or ignores it illustrates my point.

Brad offers a lot to the forum and was given lots of slack for that, and is only now reaching 15 points because of the slack he was given. Should the mods have let you know when the slack was given?
It is generous, even if 5 of them are for feck all. Why get 10 or 15 infractions? It's not that hard to avoid them, most do.
I've never been infracted but I post bland, generic statements that are inoffensive and free of wummery. I'm like wallpaper paste or those cartons eggs come in.

We both have a point though Moses, yes it's not hard to get some, but seemingly it's not hard to get them either on occasion. There remain 2 sides to it, being infracted for what you deserve is one issue, but you can't just brush aside infractions that shouldn't be given in the first place. No matter what you say to justify it, some infractions are given out for nothing, it will keep bouncing back to that. I'll conceed your point, but I still reckon mine stands equally. Balance and all that.

Other than when Smashed banned me due to me dismantling him in savage fashion, my record is also clean.
Some are given for what seems like nothing but with some posters, they are as often not given where warranted. And even the ones that are for apparently small trangressions might just be the tipping point.
Let's be honest here, we all know Brad is one of the top football posters here and as a matchgoer and ticket sourcer he is a huge asset to the forum. Not one mod I know openly disagrees with that. So in light of that admission you have to see that he wouldn't be permed lightly.

The ones that are given for nothing have hardly any effect. It's not some grave injustice. It's a virtual slap on the wrist on an internet forum that expires after a short period of time that never permanently affects anyone who doesn't deserve it to.

With the greatest of respect, infractions are given by Mods and, unless you become a Mod, are not for you to decide that they are warranted or not.

I don't like how he's acting the big man/licking up to the mods by twisting the knife in a good poster who has no means of defending himself.
There shouldn't even be any question over reinstating him, you don't ditch you're best posters over anything less than a major breach in Caf policy imo, not some petty squabbling ffs.

I'm sure he's a thoroughly decent bloke in real life (indeed quite a few people have said just that in that moderators thread), and a lot of people say he's very good in the football forums ( I wouldn't know as my eyes start to glaze over after about 10 minutes discussing football) but the guy comes across-on here at least- as a whinge.
There are plenty of other excellent football posters to read -Feeky, Pogue, Brwnd, RNick, me....so who gives a feck if some moaning drama queen gets banned?
