Music What are we listening to?

Listening to I Like Trains a lot again at the moment. What a fantastic band.

Anyone who likes post rock, check out this live recording of "Spencer Perceval"

Looking for suggestions if anyone can help. I’ll take anything but I’ll narrow it down to classic rock at the minute to make it a bit simpler. I was never into music much growing up and only really started to listen to it in my twenties. When I was twenty my battery died in my car which set off a feature in the radio which meant I had to put the code in to make it work again. It took me a year of doing two hours driving a day in silence to finally sort it out. I must admit near the end of that year I resorted to playing music from my phone. I think that somehow sparked my interest in music and I see myself as being quite lucky as I’m still discovering bands that are pretty well known to most people.

My method of finding bands is to go on YouTube and then just follow the recommendations from each video I watch until I find something new. I thought I’d got to a point where I couldn’t find much more (how stupid of me) so I now have to look harder but found some gems recently. I’ll list some names and basically just want some recommendations on similar artists really.

So people/bands I’ve somehow only just discovered are Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher, Buckethead and Rainbow. All very different but if you like any of these just give me a quick list of whatever else you listen to which is quite similar and I’ll check them out. Sorry for the life story and thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I'm a huge rock/heavy metal fan and today it occured to me that I've never actually heard Van Halen before so I've just listened to '1984' and now I'm onto the self-titled album.

I'm not really a metal fan but I've listened their self-titled album a few times over the last 2-3 months, there are some great songs on there!

I'm not really a big fan. There's just something about it that isn't quite enough for me. It just makes me want to listen to Megadeth or something.

Technically it's awesome though.

For anyone into acoustic covers check out Mike Masse on Youtube. He's been streaming 5-6 days a week for at least an hour each day. He's most famous for his cover of Toto's Africa from about 10 years ago. I had the pleasure seeing him live a few weeks ago for what was his last show before the apocalypse.

This is his most recent studio cover.

Was listening to some Bill Withers. Aside from the obvious classics I've been going to these quite often

I then listed to Joyner Lucas ADHD album, he released a lot of the album over the past year but I stayed away from most of it. Wasn't huge on it first listen, Good start, poor middle, good ending. Will the stand out track. But going back through I saved 10 tracks to my library and been bouncing to this little number tonight
