Music What are we listening to?

Bit of sunny Friday morning strolling material

Some blissful late night chill

two good songs for a bit of dancing and singing.

If studs like these two have trouble with women, imagine what's left for the rest of us, good guys. @Olly

Just listened to this album for the first time. It's pretty good.

You familiar with the other mid-90s Wu stuff? If not Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx should be your next stop.

I listened to about half of that earlier but couldn't get into it, it didn't make me feel anything really. I'm not a hip-hop person so can't really describe what I like when it comes to that kind of music. I like it when the overall feeling is dark and atmospheric, like Wu Tang's Protect Ya Neck, or Das EFX's They Want EFX. Well either that or the complete opposite and a fun feel good sound, like De La Soul's Eye Know.

I have no idea what I'm trying to say

Maybe try Killah Priest's Heavy Mental.
I checked it out.

It was ok, the music is pretty nice, but it has a vocal style that I'm not that keen on. Overall it just seems a bit too laid back. Like if there was a music video it'd be a car driving along slowly with them chilling out. When I'm listening I prefer to feel like they'd be in a dark alley or abandoned building being a bit angry.

Paul McCartney's Egypt Station. He's been making excellent albums since the late 90s but this might be the best.
