What any three signings would you make for United this summer?

You can choose anyone excluding Messi or Ronaldo.

I would choose:
1. Verratti
2. Pogba
3. Hazard

Was thinking Varane but I think we could sort out the defence easily if we had the above three in our midfield/forward line.

As soon as you include Hazard, it renders this thread pointless. Also, if you include Hazard, why exclude Messi or Ronaldo because all are just as unrealistic?

None have to be realistc.....its just everyone regards Messi and Ronaldo the two best players in the world so I didn't want to see everyone constantly saying them two.

All fairly realistic options, the former two have decent release clause(s), and you could acquire all three for roughly €80-90 million (£60-65 million). Great value for money considering their incredible potential (could develop into Martinez, Godin, Sanchez caliber of players with experience); and have a mean age of just 21 years.

Wanted to somehow fit Oliver Torres in the list too, but the OP specifies a max of 3, and replacing Carrick/ adding his heir apparent is a definite priority this summer. :(
 
Because Memphis is already signed i wont include him.

Depay already signing means I get an extra slot, so here goes:

- Pogba (if not him then Veratti)
- Lacazette
- Varane

although seeing as none of those transfers seem likely I'll go for:

- Gundogan
- Carvajal (if not him then Clyne)

1) Busquets or Kroos (the true replacements of Carrick, think Kroos can do this finely)

Pogba, Verrati and Hazard.

Pogba and Verrati would simply give us the best midfield in the world if you include our current options to add to that. Hazard is arguably the 3/4th best player in the world who would instantly improve any side. Due to the lack of current world class defenders I decided to opt for 2 potentially world class midfielders in stead.
 
Manuel Neuer - The DDG/Mendes stuff has really started to annoy me. I'd sign Neuer and tell them both to feck off.

Verratti - he's a genius and the club shouldn't be splashing out 60m quid on players like ADM when you could stick another 20m on top and get Verratti.

Benzema - the perfect Van Gaal forward imo.
