WFA Cup 25 | Wolves v United - 5:15 Sat 8 Feb

Mannion in the 6 yard box for the tap-in. How unlikely is that sentence

Ella Toone makes it four from the edge of the box.

If we didn't know who Griffiths was before, we do now!

Mannion had a cracking game to be fair. Geyse looked bright when she came on as well.

Solid performance from us. Ran the match from the start. No surprise that Wolves ran out of steam in the second half, they had to work hard right from the start. Mared Griffiths début couldn't really have gone better.

Good night's work that.

That was a fun game! Good crowd, solid performance, dream debut for Griffiths, Geyse back, pretty much everything went our way. I do feel bad for their keeper though, she must have made a mistake for 3 or 4 of our goals and she looked absolutely distraught by the end if it.

Oh well, I think I’ll get over it. On to the next round!

I was right behind the goal, that sixth one seemed to straight through the goalie somehow. Will need to see a replay, cannot fathom how that one happened!

You wouldn’t have been too far from me then! I kept having to duck because the crossbar was in the way! The one that really confused me was the Galton one, I thought it must have hit the side netting as there’s no way the keeper would’ve let it in that easy.

So funny -- I had the exact same reaction to both goals while watching on TV (via YouTube), both live and on replay. I was counting on you guys who were there to explain to me what I missed!

Skinner celebrating with fans :-)

To be fair to the keeper, she was pretty exhausted by the sixth. She started the game great, but the goals got wilder as the game went on.

I am so happy for Mared Griffiths. What a day for her - and she's not even old enough to go out on the lash to celebrate.

Totally dominant - 31-0 shots. Good crowd and great atmosphere. Obviously we should have scored more, but I'm glad we didn't in a way.

On the BBC website Toone was voted POTM with a rating of 8.19. But then again Phallon was given a rating of 6.94 - presumably for taking her one goal kick effectively as she had zero shots to save!

Wolves did have the option to swap to Molineux which their staff and squad rejected as they feel that the Bucks Head (it is never, ever, ever the SEAH fecking Stadium) is their home and they'd be giving up home advantage playing elsewhere - I wouldn't be overly concerned, it's a very good pitch which should suit United's better players so as long as they keep the ball well Wolves will tire as the game goes on.
Very late in posting this but I was absolutely delighted to see United referring to the ground as the New Bucks Head throughout the day on social media & the website etc. What a club. :)
