West Ham - 2024/25

I cannot go a day without my head randomly telling me that Fergie would've signed Jarrod Bowen, so I'm hoping that saying it here will get it to feck off.

If his other squad options on the right over the summer were Amad, Antony and Sancho I'm sure he'd have moved heaven and earth to do it too if he could.

Some wanted us to sign Ivan Toney as a third striker option, he'd have fulfilled that as well.

Back to West Ham talk, surprised Antonio has started all the league games so far and Fullkrug none. Yes, Fullkrug was at the Euros but only made sub appearances and Germany didn't go ultra deep into the tournament. I like Antonio in his own way but he's looking past it now.

Lacks the 1v1 of a classic SAF wide player. Could see him at Rafa’s Liverpool or somewhere

Got some half decent players West Ham. I’d take 3 of their front 4 for us. Missing out on kudus for Antony still hurts.

They truly are awful.

Lucky to beat us at our lowest ebb, normalcy returning this week.

It’s hard to understand the reputation that Lopetegui has as a coach. Apart from a good 18 months at Sevilla and the expected at Porto, he has done absolutely nothing of note.

An absolute shitshow of a performance at West Ham now. Ten Hag has probably given him another few games, but they are awful.

When they decided to replace Moyes it was surely happy news for their fans, felt like they were going into something new and exciting. But replacing him with Lopetegui felt odd back in May and same now. His Wolves team looked dull as well. Kinda reminds me to when Spurs sacked Mourinho and then ended up with Nuno and it was underwhelming. Nuno got sacked in November, could be same case with Lopetegui at West Ham now.

I would love to see Ten Hag given the keys to the Olympic Stadium. They need a big personality and they need Antony.

How has the manager lasted 14 games? They are utter shite. When they beat us it prolonged their manager's stay and shortened our previous manager’s stay.

Wasted big money on garbage players then went cheap as chips choosing a manager

Spent quite a bit on the defence and conceded more than 2/3 of the promoted sides - including Southampton who play like they're actively trying to give the opposition goals half the time.

Should be given the sack for that alone.

Bubble blowing tw*ts have been signing random players without a plan for years. It's time they face some consequences.

West Ham really should have got something from the game, they had 31 shots and created over 3xg.

Maybe it's the system but whenever I have seen Kilman play, he's been seriously bad. And i think they paid wolves close to 50m for him, didn't they? Todibo hasn't been much better either, but at least he's settling into a new league.

It's interesting that us, Wolves and West Ham are probably all looking to change manager in the near future and there are a few on the radar of all of us including Potter and Sérgio Conceição.

Kind of jokingly said Potter would get a call in the Lopetegui thread as Arsenal were in the process of hammering them at the weekend.

Would make sense though as a potential target, and I was sort of think the geography would too. Think he might still live down south and he's turned down clubs further away from there after managing Brighton and Chelsea.

Anyway, huge game this West Ham v Wolves one for both teams if Lopetegui is still in charge for that one.

With the way table is West Ham aren't too far away results wise despite mostly looking terrible when I've watched. All those teams closely bunched together. The other night v Leicester was a weird one too with all the chances they had.

A win v Wolves would be handy in attaching them back to that massive cluster of clubs above them. Would also make it very hard for them to be relegated, even at this relatively early stage. Lose and who knows?

Could genuinely finish about 5-5 the way both teams are defending.

Yes, could be epic based on a lot of the indicators. Monday night on TV, think I'll be watching.

Hopefully not cursed it into becoming a drab 0-0.
