Gill: What now Sir Alex?
Sir Alex: To the Nasri thread.....

:boring:

Sneijder has proven Champions League experience which is what I thought we were after

You were asking me about why we signed Berba, despite his age.

I am not doubting Sneijder's ability.

I am just wondering whether we could use the money more wisely.

But as I say, in SAF I trust.

you seen the squad we have here already, and by the time New York comes around, we will have 29 players here. David Gill will be here tomorrow so at the moment until the tour finishes we won't be doing anything"

To me that just reads like 'wait RedCafe, we will do it, but not today. We are going to finish the tour first. I hope so. I really hope so. Doesn't mention next season or the players we will have back home after the tour.

Meh, was never bothered. As I've repeatedly said, he's not what the club needs in the middle of the park.

Saying that, who the flying feck can we actually sign now? Is there anyone left?

121 pages and it's lead to this.SAF could have put this to bed the moment the rumor began. The tease.

A goal.com confirmation would be more crushing than a Fergie denial.

I'm much more happy with Sneijder. Pastore is really talented but I'd rather we signed a Dutch player than an Argentinian one. Plus, I'd say Sneijder is just the better player (just my opinion).

We have a good record with Dutch players as well... van der Sar, Nistelrooy and Stam all excelled. Cruyff was a different story, injuries pretty much screwed him over but overall we've had three diamonds.

Argentinians?

Tevez was great on the field but he's a mercenary and can't decide what he wants. Left in a $hitty fashion to well...

Heinze... also left in a shitty fashion.

Veron, never really got a hang of the English game. Good player though, just left because Fergie got a decent offer for him.

Sneijder is class, we'd be lucky to have him. A huge fee is always a risk but if we want someone of real quality it's worth it. Hopefully he'll follow in the footsteps of van der Sar, Nistelrooy and Stam and become even better.

I agree Sneijder is the better player now but Pastore will develop into the better of the 2 in my opinion is much younger and represents better value for money.I will get moaned at for saying that but we are not City or Chelsea and have to look at the long term.

Conflicting reports all over... hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this no later than tomorrow (today would be preferred).

SAF's just playing Inter's game. They say he's not for sale to drive up the price so SAF says "good, we didn't want him anyway" to cool the hype and bring the price back down.

Patience, Caftards.

Imagine if we do actually sign Sneijder.

If it happens, I'm having a party in the Sneijder thread.

There should be a bullshit thread for everyone to make up shit, post "funny" pictures and cry about who we aren't signing. These threads just descend into embarrassment when there's half a sniff of us signing someone.
