We're soft through the middle unfortunately. I think Chelsea's Conte are the blueprint for this formation and they had Kante and Matic through the middle.

I've said for a while, but the way to make this work is with Casemiro and Ugarte. And then play with more expansive wingbacks, and be willing to give up space/attacks down the wing while maintaining a rock solid middle

I'd stick Masraoui next to Ugarte.

That's a difficult two to play against.

too many don’t understand this. Apart from Rashford I think the players mostly try very hard. But most of them are slow or weak as feck, and don’t have the technique to make up for it.

There are far too many players in this squad that lack the physical attributes required to hack it in the EPL, at the moment, only Rasmus, Ugarte and possibly Maguire are robust enough. When the chips are down you need warriors, we have to many wanderers.
