You going to send it to MS?

Yeah, then when I get the replacement I'll see how much i can get for it and all my xbox gear and it will all go towards the ps3

No way am i staying xbox, i always said if i ever get the rrod id go ps3 so im gonna stick to my word

the wierd thing is, when i turn it off and on from the three red lights it seems to work fine but eventualy crashes. I just want it to fully die so i may leave it on all night...

Kill it in some wierd and wacky way and put it up on Youtube. I suggest squeezing it into your ass and then eating loads of curry, just shitloads of curry

Just a note, wait until the new batch of 80GB Models are released (27th August I think). They're priced the same as the 40GB ones (£299) so you're getting an extra 40GB of space free, so it will be worth the wait.

And you've made a wise choice;)

Yeah, I've been browsing a few sites and cant find any bundles with 80gb yet....i havnt checked amazon or play yet though

Does this happen to all Xbox 360s ultimately ?

Or is it just an error in the first batch that were sold ? Because I've got one and I'd be fecking pissed were that to happen to mine !

Errrm. This will happen to all sold before November or so last year, and then it may happen to some of those after.

Around 15% to those sold after if memory serves me correct? But yes, probably. Mine ballsed up and im just too lazy to send it off. Plus, I have the new Madden and I cant bear to send it away before trying to new system that I liked to feel of during my play at Wal-Mart on holiday.

But, I will have to send it away at some point. For now, my towels will do the trick..

In truth, I cannot believe still how they seemingly got away with this. It truely is an enigma to me. If any other company had done this, then nobody would ever buy their product again.

The normal failure rate for consumer electronics is 3-5%.

Suggest either very good marketing or that rival products are weak.

Errrrmmm, the normal failure rate for consumer electronics is 3-5%!

The PS3 was never weak, just too expensive. The funny thing is that those that thought that PS3 was weak already had an XB360 so it really didn't matter. All that is needed now is a price drop, and we will see what is weak.

The original 360's had a failure rate of around 30%, the newer ones still have around a 10% failure rate. I remember reading PS3 and Wii failure rates were lower than 1%.

Rival products aren't weak, sales figures will back me up on this. I do think out of the 3 however PS3 was marketed the worst.

Think there will be a price drop for Christmas? Rumuor has it MS are having another price cut in September (How low can they go?) so I think Sony will have to respond if that is true. £249 for an 80GB PS3 is superb value for money.
