Welcome to the new XenForo 2 site

Would like it if the difference between read and unread threads in the watched threads menu was a little bit bigger. Not obvious which are bold and which aren't. Either that or go back to only seeing unwatched threads in the menu unless you specifically click to see them all.

Site looks great, thanks, looking forward to having a look around.

I've been updating the custom theme that I use on here (as I like having a balance between light and really dark and having a little more red), when I'm done I can post the code for anyone that also uses an addon like Stylus or Stylish and would like to use it. This is how it's looking so far

Edit: It's also fixed width and narrow, as I prefer narrower sites on my screen.

The ad in the middle of the list of threads is a prick.

Could you also make a full-width version? That'd be brilliant!

I'm still getting the "HTTP Error 400" on my phone when using Chrome. Is that something to do with the cache or logging in?

Is the huge ad on the front page intentional? It takes up probably 70% of the screen on my iPhone and is so unpleasant for a home screen.

Need an external 'jump to new' button like the old xen had, is that possible @Niall ?

Also, any chance of skins being added? This one is very white on white with a bit of red.

Apart from that, it'll not take long to adjust to, certainly less time than the leap from the iteration before last to the one we've just left, anyway.

Appreciate all the work that goes into these; great job!

Is there a way to view all football discussion like before?

Thanks.

The moaners... brown nose mode enabled, people expressing their issue with level of white is moaning now, this can cause a headache if you look it longer than 3 min.
What would I even get out of brown-nosing? Money? Pat on the back? Handjob?

In addition, I never said making a critique is moaning so I'm not sure why you're so triggered or why you brought up that random example.

Ok I've flipped the colours so it's more like the old design - light background with darker content blocks instead of dark background with lighter content. Put back in the red border around posts also and I think it does look better. Thoughts?

Whenever I veer away from the classic design / colours it always seems to be a mistake :)

Lots more to do but this is a start.

It worked very well on the old forum. Would be nice to have the choice to switch to full width at least. I'd rather use my eyes than the mouse wheel, especially with that many posts per page. Looks less clean now somehow with all that empty space.
You got your wish.

Looks good to me. What about making the copyright background that dark colour you are using? It looks a bit weird with it being in white but that's just me being picky. I'm in the middle of a site migration myself so feel your pain.

Making it full width was a good decision :)

Oh yes, I did that too.

I hate full width (who wants to be craning their neck from one side of the screen to the other to read text) but I guess that's why I just keep my browser window at a reasonable width, so if people want a fluid width, so be it :)

Could you not just add in a media query for medium sized screens? It looks good on my 15inch laptop right now but can imagine it might look a bit crap on an 27inch iMac. Then again, I wouldn't have browsers full width on that anyway like yourself I guess.

Hey look at that it feels like a modern forum at last.

Now can I say cnut yet.

No. I'll carry on with my FoxReplace extension then.

I've tweaked it a little. Any better or still hard to discern them?

That's why I changed it. By having it fluid width people can choose to make it as wide as they're comfortable with. If you're on a big screen you can make your browser window narrower.

Having a browser full screen on a 27in monitor must be an awful experience. I reckon most sites these days have a fixed width so there would be vast gaping spaces everywhere.

I'm not sure I follow. Screenshot?

The FTSE 100 is up today by 88+ points; highest it's been for a long while.

Coincidence? I think not.

The new design looks good though.

I actually preferred the darker background, shame.

TBH I haven't been feeling as comfortable as I were with the previous version at all but maybe I'll get used to it over the time.

This looks much better than earlier @Niall

Oh was just a design suggestion to make the background of .p-footer-copyrightRow #101010

I think it looks good as you have it on the pages that have the extra dark footer section with Quick Navigation etc but for some reason it isn't on the homepage at least not for me so the white copyright background just looks a little odd.

Yeah, I think the background of Forum software by XenForo® © 2010-2019 XenForo Ltd. would look better dark rather than pure white.

Edit: and change the colour of border-top to match the new background colour.

I think it looks good on the internal pages as the full footer is there and so you have black then red then white which feels proper United. I think just having the full footer as it is now but on the homepage too would be best?

I see. I've added the extended footer to the homepage. Better?
