Welcome to the new XenForo 2 site

In the old forum it was easy to come back to United or football forum from a thread you're reading cause there were tabs above. I don't see that now, it's a real drag to go back to a certain forum.
I'm on mobile, haven't looked how it looks on laptop.

you have to go to start of thread, use the red arrow to bottom of page, scroll back up, then click last page, then quick scroll down with red arrow again and then scroll back up to post.

I’ll be addressing navigation on mobile soon, it definitely needs improving.

Isn’t there a breadcrumb link to the forum you’re in at the top and bottom of the thread page?
 
On mobile, it doesn't seem an improvement from the point of view of navigation around the site.

Clarity isn't great, compared to previously, polls, in particular, display in a very messy way.

Obviously a huge effort to do the update and we will get used to it.

Thanks a lot, that made it work so far, although at first when I signed in I didn't have this problem and was able to use the site normally, when suddenly the error happened, so I will get back to you if it occurs again.

I'm really liking the development so far, the desktop version looks a lot better than the initial release. I guess it will need some getting used to the mobile version, as the lines separating posts seem too small and I get a bit mixed up at times, but it's no big deal in the end, it's a lot more important to fix any bugs that cause errors or performance issues now.

On the old site I tended to swap from Watched threads to New, now it's from Watched threads to All, which is fine, and I like that if you were last on Watched threads when you closed the site then you're there automatically when you re-open.

Only downside so far is that each thread title seems to take up a lot of depth, so there aren't many threads per page. On desktop at least, not tried mobile.

Quick question.
When I open a thread, on the old format I could click on the last or any other page.
I am sure it is me being dim but how do I do this now.
 
I got that "access denied" message as well when i tried to access the Cafe on Safari. Once i went to Chrome I was able to log in no problem, Does it only work on Chrome now?

That massive red top section/heading is there on every page and takes up an awful lot of space. It also seems to go off page and doesn’t fit to size properly.

The at the bottom, the page navigation is made really unclear by the red background.

Is there a page number fix? Or an ability to open to a specific page from the thread list?

Site is unusable otherwise. Nobody wants to jump into a thread to page 1.

Are you sure you didn't click the cog icon in the editor? This disables those buttons and enables you to write BB code directly. If you click the cog again those buttons should work.
 
@Niall Seems strange that the old style page numbers appear on iPhone XR held landscape but in portrait mode they change to the two red next previous boxes with only current page between. Understand it’s called by an under XXpx screen width but the red ones take up the same, or more, width. So it’s definitely not an available space thing.

I think that's a cookie issue. Can you clear cookies for this site in Safari and let me know if it works again?

Not yet, this feedback is invaluable to be honest and most of it is very valid. Some people's comments are just dumb though. You know who you are :)

Yes the navigation on narrow viewports in this theme was poorly executed but sadly I never noticed it sooner. I was more focused on the desktop style.

Having only a next / previous link instead of individual pagination links makes navigating a thread really cumbersome. Fixing this is near the top of my list.
 
I love capital first letters of posters when looking at alerts and who's online, based on Google? :)

@Niall

Regarding the watched forums tab, could you make it so that only non-viewed threads are shown again? I've looked a bit more and I still think it's hard to tell the difference between bolded and not-bolded threads.
 
@Niall I figured out how to do it. Yes deleting the cookies for the site worked! Thanks bud!
 
Got quoted in a post and didn’t get any red number alert on the bell-thing in the top right corner. However, when I pressed the bell icon I saw the alert.

Everything I actually use/care about on the site seems to work very well with the upgrade - so no issues here. Thanks, man - for running this madhouse.
 
Any way to zoom out? I don't like the way the font is so big now..

I've already zoomed out as much as I can on my browser.
 
One good thing is the new site loads quickly and completely on firefox desktop. The old site would hang often on loading the page, it would load visually but the tab loading icon would continue spinning trying to load some last bit and would just keep going.

Yeah I noticed this it would be nice to be able to navigate easily from the top of the page.

I’d also like a like button, but that’s probably just me! Looks good though!

It is indeed very big. The "small" setting in the preferences is a bit too small so I changed it manually to something in between "small" and "normal" using the Stylus extension.

No I haven't had it since last night. I'm not sure why it was happening tbh, I think it was only in Watched Threads that it happened, but it wasn't every time. I didn't click "Mark all as read" as I don't know where that link it :lol: I dunno really! But it seems to be fine now :)

Was the same for my first alert, did see the number on the second one (no popup alert notification though). See if it works now after this quote?
