Welcome to RedCafe.net on XenForo!

Are you able to search a thread on the new layout?

Presuming you mean search in a thread, just click the bar and there's a little box near the bottom. "Search this thread only". If you meant search the forum for thread titles, theres similar box to tick for that at the top, "Search titles"

Found it. I had looked in the search bar before. Completely blind. Thanks.

Are we ever going to have that feature which you could see on the top of the red bar along side permalink etc....So that whenever you refresh the page you'll be taken to the post you select? Lack of this feature is really pissing me off...not that anyone cares about me. But yeah...

If it's what I'm thinking of the post number link does that. For example your post the link is where it says #845.

When I click on it...there is a pop up window which gives me link to that post. Forexample this "https://www.redcafe.net/threads/welcome-to-redcafe-net-on-xenforo.372202/page-22#post-13743276". Now I'll have to paste it in the address bar and hit enter. From now on whenever I refresh I'll be taken to this post. In the earlier version..it used to happen by itself.

True, but you don't have to click the link then copy/paste it. Just drag it into the address bar

Edit: :)

You can drag the link into your address bar and then when you refresh you'll be taken to the post. Slightly more hassle than before but still easy enough.

Edit: :(

Ok thanks guys :) . Still preferred the earlier version but still its cool :)

Niall, thank you a billion times for the new Redcafe.

I've been very busy with work and when I get home late with my coffee I just let the forum auto guide me to my favorite threads exactly from the last post I've read, and it does it nicely and without interfering on the screen.

This feature alone is worth the conversion for me, I can't wait for the match day stuff you promised.

Good job and thanks again.

Cheers. Although the matchday stuff may be put on the long finger for a while. My time is more limited than I expected right now so it may be a gradual thing rather than a big new section introduced in one big release.

Have any of the mods (or you Niall) tested the live matchday stuff yet? How different is it from what we used to see with a normal thread?

As I stated in my post yesterday, the Matchday section is on hold for the moment, so nothing to test yet.

Not really been here much, new site is great. I'm sure it has been asked but I can't find it with search so I'll ask here - is there a way to see the time a post was made? Just shows the date, or 'x minutes ago' up until a point.

Yes, hover over the date/the 'x minutes ago' bit.

If I put posters on my ignore list, would they be able to see new threads I create? If so, I should/have to un-ignore them?

Posters you put on ignore can still read all your posts/threads - but you can't see theirs.

Any idea why I keep receiving emails notifying me in threads that I'm watching, despite:

a) unchecking the box to automatically watch threads that I've posted
b) unchecked the box to receive email notifications of thread posts

Despite doing both of these, I continue to receive emails. Annoying.

Is there any possibility of making quotes not put everything in italics? Or better yet, making so that everything that already was in italics ends becomes normal, while everything else is italics? Minor issue.

This forum is the shit. The alerts function alone has made it worth the switch.

Know it's already been commented on, but is there any chance there could be a spoiler tag button?

If I quote someone who is banned from a thread or a forum in that thread or forum do they still get a notification?

ANy answers for this?

Quick question (that's probably been raised and answered before):

For some reason a lot of threads appear for me with an invisible title. I don't think I can click on the thread without cliciking on the page number (and not the thread itself). Typically happens to the sticky threads in the MU forum. Is it this way for everyone? What can I do to change it?

When I was on the match thread today, it seemed to be really slow re-loading...did anyone else have this problem? So much slower than before..the page wouldn't load fully.

What browser and operating system are you using?

Okay, I clicked start a conversation, I typed in the recipient and the message, now I cannot figure out how to send it.
