Welcome New Mods | Snowjoe steps into the modding fray

@Niall @Damien

Thanks, I take it there is a list of all current admin's/ mod's in the general forum somewhere? How are the admin's elected, is it simply through being handpicked by Mod's or is there an application process? Just find the whole thing quite interesting.

Admins are chosen by Niall, sometimes getting feedback of other Admins and he picks from the Mods. Mods are chosen by Niall, Admins and existing Mods.

All staff are listed here: https://www.redcafe.net/members/?type=staff

Admins are chosen by other admins but we haven't added to them for years as there isn't a need.

Mods are chosen by admins and mods after discussing appropriate candidates.

Is it possible to put that "Staff Member" banner for mods for all forums?

It is possible but is most valuable in the Newbie Forums so new members know who are the people in authority.

If I recall correctly, some mods preferred not to have it in the main forums.

Would it be valuable to have everywhere? What do others think?

I don't see the need for it up here, if you we saying something to someone that you might not if they had the staff member tag then you probably just shouldn't be saying it at all.

No. Mods suck. I say this as someone who stands up for the common folk.

I'm so glad that my 3 favourite non-mod posters are now mods.

It's not about the father role really... it's about being dominant and authoritive yet caring. It's about being the greatest in the world at first, but then disappearing and never coming back ahahahahah feck off dad.
