Speaking of the Times, there was an article regarding Ratcliffe's ownership of sporting institutions:
He needs to just let the current leadership with Murtough and Arnold stay on. Don't need a Chelsea happening.
100%. None of that radical changes when we are in an upward trajectory. If ether Jim or Jass takes over the best move is to have some non-exec Chairman sit on top of things to oversee the investment -- and see if the club's current management is meeting the agreed goals at the start of the takeover.
Just hope they dont put any of their kids into teh business.

I think “ordinary” is being polite.
I'd be curious if any takeover benefited from sacking everyone there. Newcastle had to sack Bruce but I'm not sure if they sacked anyone else
Ratcliffe has an existing football/sporting management already (headed by Breilfords) Surely there will be ideas of 'land-grabbing' within that group of his if he is to win the bid. It's just corporate politics -- seen it enough in my own corporate career.
This worries me about Jim.I think “ordinary” is being polite.
Not real fans. Liverpool made success by strong recruitment and putting in the right manager. It’s possible but we need better people at the top and scouts and recruitment. Money ball, please. Money ball over plastic clubs who might just make us PSGWatch Ratcliffe take over United and Qatari owner then buys Liverpool or Spurs this/next year our fans would be pissed off with that scenario I imagine
Good point. Hopefully they're competent if that's what happens. I'm skeptical of everyone above ETH still even though some of our transfers were good in the last 2 years.
What self-image? What comes to my mind is either a delusional fan base or full-kit wankers.
This is some new stuff, nobody I mean nobody has written anything similar to this. Kudos.Watch Ratcliffe take over United and Qatari owner then buys Liverpool or Spurs this/next year our fans would be pissed off with that scenario I imagine
Thank you. And kudos to you on solid attempt of humour. Keep trying, you'll pull it off eventually. This is some new stuff, nobody I mean nobody has written anything similar to this. Kudos.

Wait, what's happening? I'm not up to speed on thisTbf I'd love to see Qatar buy Spurs and tell us how they're going to invest $700million on cheese.

Ah, bummer!Qatar are buying Spurs for the cabinet space.
Best cheese room in London apparently.Qatar are buying Spurs for the cabinet space.
Not as good as yours unfortunatelyI thought your post was that, an attempt of humour.

Dont worry, it will be better. Not as good as yours unfortunately
If Spurs hit the money lottery, you know what this means...?
Glaston will be back.
Even if they did, so what? Are we suddenly going to be worse than Spurs? People seem to think unless we get SJ we're absolutely doomed to the lowest pits of hell forever, by the reactions of some on this forum you'd think if SJR takes over we're basically going to be relegation fodder next season and going forward, that we're going to fall so far behind. I don't understand how people can't grasp that we don't need unlimited money - just somebody that can help us with the debt so that we can use our own generated funds to compete, which is more than enough considering FFP etc.I don't think Qatar want another football club as much as they want the platform of United. They're not suddenly going to go after Spurs if this fails.
