We woz robbed!

to be fair she wouldnt have had the ideal preperation... I think she has the right to complain, so has the chinese girl.

Did she even acknowledge the other girl was better than her?

This is sport things like this will happen, she should just get on with it. No point whinging about it and the Mexican girl didnt have time to prepare to play against her either.

So much for that then..

The excuses are all coming out now

From what I know of him, Steve Bull the team psychologist uses imagery and positive visualisation. To provide an adequate warm up that would be effective, it would take about 20minutes or so. However, she found out with only 15 minutes to look at tapes, and to warm up and make her way to the ring - not enough warm up time to become psychologically focused.

She has a huge right to give her reasons why she didnt perform well.

The big difference is that the Mexican lass KNEW she was fighting - our lass was told she was out.

Good post Muller.

Good to see she at least got herself a bronze.

Kick miss and scream contest i think its called

Aye, it's pretty fantastic to be fair.

The girls give out these blood curdling screams with a psychopathic look in their eyes, then when they get hit they rub their injuries and look on the verge of tears.

I'd like to see them try it in high heels, whilst trying to keep a handbag on their shoulders.

Imagery and positive visualisatioin? Sounds like hogwash to me. It's the Olympics semi final, you really shouldnt need a sports shrink and lot of time to fire you up.

Most athletes rely on it, including the manchester united team.

Were hogwash then too?

I use it as well. It's common sense. You obviously try and visualize yourself winning. No need for a sports psychologist for that.

There is to devise a full programme of incremental positivity leading to improved kinesthtetical belief and ability.

I would say they need an expert to work that out.
