I mean, really... aside from him conceding in the first 10 seconds tonight and leaving us on the back foot for over 90 minutes, I think having him in the squad makes both our manager and our players think that we just need 1 goal, or maybe if we're happy that day with a draw, no goals at all and we will be okay.

We clearly rely too much on defense, and I'm starting to feel it all stems from having De Gea as the keeper. He's too good and it causes a mental block in the players around him causing them to think that we are always safe in defense and that nothing bad can happen from going whole segments of the match without attacking. Like an old security blanket that someone still has around years after it has outgrown its usefulness.

Think of the funds we could get from him, or the players in a player swap with Madrid. Getting rid could solve all of our issues if we do it for the right price.

Might seem knee-jerk, but it's not, I swear. We could do with a better 10 in front of the keeper and make do with someone lesser than DDG in between the sticks and win it all... we have before.

We have. Sorry. Goodbye. hehe

We need to give back the one we did win with him out of principal.
In fairness he was developing back then... If he'd been as good as he is today there is no way Evra, Vidic and Rio could have kept their concentration... I'm with @Carolina Red

Why not create a sub-forum, specifically for Rant related to the team.

These type of threads, will probably not bring much meaningful aspects regarding team and players, but incredibly generate lots of answers in a very short lapse of time, where to everyone's astonishment, it's not unlikely that other posters may think (or be thinking at the moment), pretty much the same as what was written by the OP, but don't feel enough confidence to post their opinions in the regular forum (mostly due to the fear they might get ridiculized for it, after). Besides, some of the replies they get, happen to be quite funny and in some cases very clever, and in a moment of despair and sorrow as how most fans feel when the team doesn't perform as expected, allows most of them have a small laugh about the issue, and remind everyone that at the end, football keeps on being simply a game, not worthy of giving more importance to it than what it really is.

To laugh about it, a little, also helps "turning the sorrow page", sooner.
.
.

Btw, (as a humble newbie), please, don't lock them right away, or at least leave them open for a few days....

Much better than the other 2 threads.

What the actual feck has gone on on this forum what with this thread and the Pogba is shit thread, it’s embarrassing, we were shit all over the park and Spurs played well, end of. It happens, we get our shit together and go again on Saturday.

White text?

We won it with clean-shaven DDG. Not bearded hipster man-bun DDG.

Clean-shaven DDG is a man dedicated to his craft, meticulous in both his preparation and his appearance. Bearded hipster man-bun DDG is a fat, lazy, slovenly DDG who is living high on the hog collecting a massive pay cheque every week. Too lazy to shave, or get a proper haircut. If he didn't have to go train, he will spend weeks in the same sweat pants playing xbox or ps4 while drinking craft IPAs.

It's a tragedy. We want our old donut thieving DDG back, someone who had the hunger, and was willing to rob a donut store to satisfy that hunger.

Where has the hunger gone David? WHERE?

Finally a thread I can agree with, amongst the sea of nonsense from knee-jerk posting.

Damn. I was just about to make a thread entitled "We will never win the league with Smalling, Young, Carrick in the team." I gotta find another scapegoat now. :(

Also, when has he last scored. I mean people get on Lukaku's back when he goes on a goal drought, but De Gea hasn't scored in ages. If our supposedly world class players aren't chipping in with goals and assists, then they need to go. Simple as that.

He makes too many saves and can't play with his feet. Why can't we use the Pep goalkeeper strategy?

I think I'm right in saying Dave has NEVER scored for us despite a lot of appearances. It's time he was dropped for sure.
