All those long term injuries to key players, off forms this is the worst start to the season I've seen for UTD. Closed transfer market isn`t helping.
We had chances to buy some fire power but we didn't. Fergie wanted to stick to Schole playing behind RVD (with Devastating effects....to us)
It kills me to watch sheep beating us today. 6pts in 6 games???I am not going to say its still early now....
I ain`t being a glory hunter and I've been going to OT as far as I can remember. That doesn't mean I can`t express my anger and fustruation. With this rate, we will probably do alot worse than last year.
Still. I got my ticket for Spurs game. I`ll be cheering for the boys.....For now I am gonna drown my sorrows with some beers..... :( :( :(

Fergie wanted to stick to Schole playing behind RVD

. Been watching the Wrestling have we. I agree with what u say though i know Rio is one of the best defenders around.I just wonder why didn't he go for Ayala in the end ?? it would have give us a bit more to spend on other areas.Defensively i thought we played well today i thought O'Shea again put in a good account of himself although out of position. And until half time i thought Phil and Nicky had the run of centre midfield.Keep The Faith.

I agree ForeverRed, no problem with ya getting the old anger out. Some on here consider it a sin, but no worries mate. I too am worried. Nothing will stop me from supporting United but to come on here (like many will today) and call people that pose questions "Glory Hunters" is a tad bit presumptious.

Once again we see the United defence do well but the midfield to forward play abysmal. I do not know what is wrong with Giggs but he has never played so consistantly bad as he has done last season and this. I mentioned to a few mates 2 seasons ago that I felt Giggs was on the way out, much to their disagreeance, but it seems he is slowing up, running out of ideas and giving the ball away all to easily.

How many times today did you see the ball being brough down the flank, whipped in and either being given to a leeds player or being headed out by a leeds player to a leeds midfielder ? It is predictable, not exciting and damn frustrating.

I don't have the answers, I love United and will support them through thick and thin, but it is clearly obvious United are in a bit of deep water at the moment.

We don't need a miracle we just need to the players to have a bit of confidence in themselves. They appear to be trying to walk the ball into the goal

SHOOT FOR feckS SAKE. SHOOT

I lost count of the number of times i shouted that today

Absolutely. The strikers are taking too much time and too many touches in front of goal.

2 moments:

Ruud and Ole play a one-two, releasing Ruud all on his lonesome in front of Robinson. Instead of lashing the ball in, he waits till Robinson gets down and nicks the ball off his toe.

Ole receives a pass and embarasses Woodgate by nutmegging him. He then cuts inside and instead of letting fly, takes an unnecessary touch, allowing Woodgate to come back and block the shot.

Still... can't win if we can't score. I'm not worried though. We'll pull through. No miracle needed, just need to get the act together.

Actually I agreed that it's not a problem and it's certainly not a sin to let out anger when we lost but at least don't put the blame on certain players such as these statements like "sell veron, sell everyone, SAF is old, Phil Nev s*ck...etc" Looking at past history in RedCafe..these type of post make it's way almost everyday once we lost, drew and worst still when we won.

We lost to a team that took better chances than us. The lads needs all our supports at this moment. We are down but we are certain not out yet!

I think the miracle we are referring to bears in mind United's current injury crisis more so than their inability to up their game. I have never in my life seen a team (since the quarter finals of the Champions League last seasons up to now) cursed with such a reoccuring plague of injuries. I'm tellin ya it's those scousers ! They're curing us !

True. The injuries are pluging us big time. and unfortunately nothing could be done at this moment. just hope the youngster are given more chances to play.
Really I would not mind us hanging in the midtable by december but as long as United are committed to play well and I believe things will come rosy by the end of the season.

As long as the team works and fights for each other the way they did in the first half, I'm not bothered where we are in the table - I'd be happy with totally committed performances.

Because our success has been built on the sort of spirit we saw for at least 45 minutes out there. We're mainly lacking confidence and inspiration in the final third. It's not going to return quickly, I feel, but we must keep that spirit going in the meantime.

The bad news is we need to score now. Sure Ruud and Ole will be scoring soon. But soon might be 10 matches away. And to have a chance at winning the league we need to start winning again immediately. The sad news is that now we can't afford having strikers out of form.

Eh, feck it. At least we'll win the European Cup once everyone's fit. I hope...

I think Kinky got itr about right .....nothing coming from the wings these days . Giggs again largely anon , while some of Becks crosses were dismal though he played with great heart (and a nice elbow too ) ...bright spots ..O`Shea again ,looks composed , Rio of course , Butt we are very lucky tp have him , ans bless him Phil , he does try, Blanc sound enough too ........Ruud ???? is it poor service ? will a few goals sort it out ???//and as some one else posted the ocassional shot wouldnt go amiss we are being too too clever in front of goal ....

Worried about our reserve talent ...Chadwick ...hmmmm , too light still and always cuts inside to be swallowed up ..Im giving up on Forlan , good enough , but just that good enough ...Fortune isnt an answer .

If I have a criticism of Sir A it is why are so few coming through .......

BUt its still only Sept , and nice to know others are suffering as I am and I am far too old and far too sensible to know better but I dont ...
ps

....also lost on the St Leger

with responses like this no wonder you have 10,000 posts.
Not that I agree with the Post's title, But we are in need of something drastic.Say something for God's sake or stay away.

Who the feck are you anyway?

With the thread title, the thread barely warrants a reponse more substancial than the one I gave.

It's pathetic, you'd think there we're 5 games left, not 30-odd

Hold on, we're playing Maccabi Haifa, even the most sceptical won't be convinced if we beat them by 5.

We have a problem, that's plain to see, but it is early days and we have time to rectify. But at the moment we look bereft of ideas and as a consequence very one dimensional. The defence to my mind is looking sound - ironic isn't it? - but we haven't that killer instinct at the moment. Give them time though. We do severely lack strength in depth though and it's showing.

Exactly, Just shutup or say the above. Who am I ?
Not a REAL UTD fan Like U, someone with no right to critisize or get worried, just like the other 99%.

I'd seriously doubt 99% of United FANS we're as worried as some folk on here. I'm worried, but I'm not predicting the end like some of these doom merchants.

There are problems, I'm not denying that. I just think there is plenty of time before we 'need miracles' to save us.

cnut ;)

Like buying 2 forwards regardless of elgibility for Champs League, since we need to score and to motivate Ole and more important RVN so they can do something, also get rid of a lot of dead wood..

We cant until January, and you said we need something drastic to be done, ie. now!

Bloody hell, Barthez has kicked his water bottle onto the head of a disabled supporter now and is facing a police investigation!

Ok, we should have done it earlier, and if we do this in Jan., then it is ok too. As I said before, I do not agree with the word miracles but It may still be a case of too little too late. The others are not dropping points now, are they?
;)

I believe Arsenal are the only team yet to recieve an 'upset'. We've lost as many as Leeds, who are second.

It's a long season, there are many injuries. Don't write them off just yet.

Yes and they still have Luinberg(spell) and Peres to come back. Oh I hate this.

That would do me too even a 4-3, though a 1-0 will do, I'd love to see some goals being banged in.

I think we have a 7.5mil Striker for this job, don't we? Garbage
;)

^ Oh come on! Forlon needs some time, he's never been given a real runout as of yet so it's a little unfair to criticise him already.
Baros didn't kick a ball for Poo until today, and he looks a decent player, but it took him a while to adjust. It'll happen for Forlon too.
