The only thing better than Simpsons memes is Elon Musk having a breakdown at the same time

Homer's Barbershop Quartet is on Channel 4+1 now! Be Sharps

One of the GOAT episodes!

Went to a Simpsons quiz last night and feck was it niche. There was a whole round on Jon Lovitz.

Enjoyable little series showing all of the film references in each season

Not my work:

Jose, are you really going to ignore Ed Woodward for the rest of your life?

Of course not. Just for the rest of his life. He said I was an accident, he didn't wanna have me.

You didn't wanna have Luke Shaw.

I know, but you're never supposed to tell the child.

You tell Luke all the time. You told him this morning.

But when I do it, it's cute!

Great job by morons. Apu is now being written out of the show. May as well axe every character if people get offended so easily these days.

That just strikes me as lazy writing. If people aren't happy about a characters portrayal, do something about it rather than just write the character off.

Tbf the last twenty years of The Simpsons have struck me.as being lazy writing as well.

Hah. Very true. If this had been an issue in its early days, they would have written around it. The current writers are not a patch on the early stuff

It hardly even matters anymore to be fair, does anybody even watch it anymore? It's actually been bad now longer than it was good. They should just end it. Mid 90s Simpsons was all time great shit. I stopped watching it in about 2005, and it had been bad for ages then. Doesn't sound like it's gotten any better.

I genuinely stopped watching around series 13. Back in the day I was a huge fan and used to watch each episode several times over.

I get the impression I made a good decision way back then.

Series 2-10 Will always be classics in my mind.

Is there anything more predictable than a Simpsons thread with people saying it's not as good as it used to be?

The increasing amount of Lisa-centric episodes bugged me. I always avoid those types of episodes as they were far too preachy and up their own ass with their messages, as well as portraying Lisa as basically a Mary Sue.

Personal favourite episode is Lemon of Troy. That episode could have easily been stretched out to a feature length movie with the possibilities and potential with that premise. That Shelbyville Homers face when eating that lemon always got me laughing when I was younger... and I’m so happy it’s a popular meme.

It's still a very funny show. It's not as good as it used to be, but it doesn't make it shit.

Personally I find Lisa's voice infinitely more annoying than the things she actually says. And when they make her sing, christ, what a noise.

Yeardley Smith is the least talented voice actor on the show. Not sure how she got the gig to do one voice when the others all do loads.

Someone said this in this thread a while ago and I asked if they could recommend one episode that’s been made in the last 10 years that might support the claim that the simpsons is still a funny or very funny show. Didn’t get a reply but if you can suggest me an episode to watch please do, I’m genuinely curious

I’ll be honest, my opinion is that the show has been utter trash for quite a while.

I would do, but I can't be arsed. :)

The Football Ramble (or one of their podcasts, it was Pete Donaldson) were advertising it so not necessarily
If this type of thing makes someone a "wanker" in your opinion, you must have a problem with just about everyone
