Reminds me of the 1990 final.
Yeah but i felt the Argentineans were more threatening in the attack.

This final is as exciting as pulling teeth.
I don't think they've parked the bus. . .they've definitely hurried the Spaniards, though.
HT
game - boring
Ref - inconsistent (typical Webb)
Dont be giving Van Bommel ideas.
Similar to the Spain - Germany game. One goal will probably win it.
What will you have had Webb do instead? He has been brilliant. Nobody wants to see 10 against 11 this early in the game of this importance. His discretion has saved this final. It keeps the potential of a good game alive.
He showed those early yellows just to keep things from boiling over.
I think he has been great.
That tackle from De Jong was horrible; so stupid and infuriating to watch.
I think they've had the better of the half, I think they've pressed up high on the pitch and that has caused Spain to lose fluency.
Van Bommel and De Jong are well trained in the dark arts.
Webbs having a mare
And yet half the caf is still up for Holland? Spain havent even gone chasing after the ref demanding cards. Maybe they should

Forget Total Football, the Dutch have adopted Anti Football.
i agree spoony spain had that typical start ruling the midfield then it all kinda changed. clearly van bommel needs to stay on the pitch but for now i would think that the dutch will be the happier in the locker room.

horrible match to watch...too many foul and too many cards have killed the match.

thinks he is having a good game. sure you could argue that dejong should have got a red but overall he has had a good game.
Yep, it's been an intriguing game. I'm enjoying it, these look like two top, top level teams that are genuinely scared of each other.
Funny that the hard tackling, dirty game that the Dutch are playing has translated itself to the Spanish too.
