Watching films repeatedly

I've seen the Star Wars films so many times I could probably recite them line by line.

Rocky & Alien films too.

When I was aged between 8 and 12 I used to watch original Star Wars and/or Empire Strikes back almost every time I visited my Grandparents.

Bearing in mind we went on average at least once a week in that time, and allowing for the few occasions when I perhaps didn't watch TV... I'd say I've racked up a good 200+ viewings of those two films combined in my lifetime.

Snatch
A Few Good men
Robocop
Pulp Fiction
Schindler's List
Goodfellas
The Godfather
Casino
Planes Trains
Groundhog Day

Are all films I would happily go home and put on right away.

I think I've seen pretty much every film I've liked more than once, or certainly intend to.

The first viewing you get engrossed in the story. Its only really the second viewing onwards that you can really take in the nuances of the direction.

I must have watched The Great Escape and Zulu at least 10 times.

More than once:
Most Clint Eastwood films
Most Steve McQueen films
Most Bruce Willis films

The life of brian, and the Holy Grail.

Also, Airplane I and any of the Naked Guns.

I saw one of those when I was in bed with flu a few years back, and thought it was shocking. Don't think I laughed once.

Should I go back and have another look on the off-chance I was being a little he-bitch, and feeling so sorry for myself that I had no sense of humour? Or is it just a bit shit?

Probably not Brophs if you did not find it funny initially, I suppose you have to be into that kind of comedy. There is not exactly much of a script or decent acting etc in the film, it is just sound bite after sound bite. Like Ander8on says it is the type of film that you repeat lines from with your friends a lot, probably in inappropriate situations… then realise you must have looked like an idiot a while later.

Didn't notice you posted this, wasn't keen on Next Friday because of no Smokey.

Reckon I could still do a bit, although I would probably never watch it by choice again.

Yeah would have been better if Smokey was in it.

John Witherspoon is the star of the show for me though in both, others make up for it as well.

Friday After Next on the other hand was a step too far.

I find things are rarely as good on second viewing with the narrative element taken away. Plus there are so many things I haven't seen it seems a waste to watch things again.

I think I've watched Mrs Doubtfire more than any other film, closely followed by Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

I'd absolutely disgusted if somebody were to PM me a decent link or stream for Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Fortunately, my computer isn't a fan of torrents, so it'd have to be through some other detestable means.
