Was there a downtime just now?

I had an issue earlier this morning - wasn't able to access site for about 45 min when I got to work but, was able to earlier in the morning.

Where are you two based? It is probably your country/regional node losing connectivity with certain domain extensions.

Odd as a lot more people would have that problem then. I had an issue a few months back when I couldn't access any UK sites and some European ones. I tried about 30 sites and none worked but the US/Latam ones were fine. I turned on the TV as I thought WWIII had started and you were all toast :nervous:

Turned out it was a problem with Uruguay's telecomms and partially losing connectivity with an entire section of the WWW.

Singapore. I could access the BBC website during that time though, I initially thought there was a update on a transfer and the site went down

I had an issue from my work comp earlier but it was working from my phone so I figured it was more likely an issue at my end.

Am in Houston, TX. I was able to connect from home and then when I got to work about 40 min later - was no go. I tried to different ISP at work (our internal one and a public one provided by building services) and then tried my phone carrier one as well. Other connectivity was working just fine.

I had some downtime at around 2.15pm GMT today for around 45 minutes.

The site is currently experiencing DNS issues which may result in some of you not being able to access the site for extended periods (anywhere from a couple of minutes to an hour).

This will hopefully be resolved in the next few hours.

Was unavailable again for about 30-45 min or so (around from 8:30 PM London time).

Edit - oops ok thanks Niall.

Yeh I just had this again from my work computer but could again access via my mobile anyway.

I couldn't access the caf for a at least hour for me. Life continued without undue hardship.

I had the same problem half an hour ago or so. Nearly lost it but just about held myself together.

I had this problem yesterday, chrome gave me the choice of a cached version, so I used that and then whenever I went into a thread, I got the latest posts in that thread. Don't know if this helps.

I get the "she canee take the strain" message every few minutes. a refresh and it works again though.

Ive not been able to access the caf all day and most of yesterday, mainly because her indoors has got me boarding out the whole front room, moving sockets adding new ones, moving light switches and knocking a wall down.
Hope this helps.

Anyone else having problems tonight? It's really slow and sometimes only loads part of a page

Yeah I am even as I speak, pages take forever to load sometime don't load at all.

Transferring data from ib..criteo.com scrolling at bottom left of the page

Having the same issue, it keeps trying to pick up 3-4 domains. Based on zero IT knowledge and general fecking around I would bet my left nut it is linked to the ads.

1. It is always 3-4 addresses it keeps trying (one having ads in it).
2. Most pages stop loading altogether after putting 2-3 things up and precisely when an ad should load.
3. The threads load but don't have any ads in them (presumably the ads on threads don't interfere with the rest loading up).
4. This reply to thread screen loads up quick and easy and, surprise surprise, doesn't have ads to load.

Good to see I'm not the only one, my alternative theory was some nasty browser helper option thingie.

I'm still experiencing this problem. Is it identified/being looked at? Any way I can help?

I had this issue all day yesterday and this morning as well.

Downloaded adblock on firefox and it's all running smoothly again
