His granddaughter and wife are the same person?! Classic 24 twist that. feck you for ruining it for me.

that MUST be it

Except a) they didn't all die, b) it isn't a virus, it is some sort of genetically engineered prion that doen't infect more than the original host and c) this is 24 so you may well be right.

One of the best episodes to date. The tension is unbearable.

 At Tony, who showers while theres a dead body laying up against your bath?

About time someone put that whiny analyst-lady in her place.
God she's annoying.

it doesnt need to be action packed to be a good episode

the episode was great, even more so with Jack's rant and the return of CTU
IMO it was poor.

The whole Hodges interrogation was one of the poorest sequences in 24. Did he actually even tell then anything worthwhile? They already knew the woman and Tony were involved and they needed to catch him. Rest of the theory Jack came up himself without info from Hodges. He just told them a bunch of people are behind it, none of whom he knows. Alright then, off you go to witness protection...

Jack's rant was good but this show has a bad habit of ridiculously simplifying complex issues. It is very annoying at times.

Whole Olivia story is just needless waste of tim. She looked like a great character in the beginning, Sherry Palmer II, but it is going no where right now.

Only sequence worthwhile in this epi was the Chloe one.

that's the whole point of the show to be honest - something you find a 'needless point of time' might prove to be one of the most important aspects of future events on the show

I believe the phrase 'the calm before the storm' comes to mind after watching that episode

Not really no. The whole Kim storyline in S2 was pointless waste of time as well. It did not even lead to any relevant character development for her as I though it would.

Hell I STILL have the ringtone! Long live CTU! Great to see Chloe back. Chloe > Janice.

I agree with crappycraperson. That was poor. Filler episode.

Janis and Olivia = Annoying and useless.

Can't do the staying up for 24 episode thread tonight :( Early wake up for uni hand ins.

Meh episode tonight. Even Jonas dying was completely obvious from the get-go.

Yeah. It was hard not to call the Hodges thing, but I was expecting a sniper a la Syed Ali in season 2. The explosion threw me off a little bit.

I don't intend to be Mr. Tippett for long.

Such a loaded statement.

I almost lost it when potato-face started crying. This is getting to be like Jack's farewell tour.

And I love how even the most intricate plans hatched by the enemy can be instantly dismantled by the writers by playing the "They tried to fool everyone, but Chloe's ridiculously smart and she figured it out" card. But what do you expect really? When Jack tells you to go back to work, you go back to work, and do a damn good job of it too.

I also noticed this, they've used this explanation so many times now.

I'm thinking it might have been Aaron who killed Hodges, don't ask me how, but if Olivia didn't pay the assassin then he wouldn't have done it. In the episode before this one I'm pretty sure her and Aaron had a convo like:

Aaron: Anything else I can do for you?
Olivia: Other than kill Jonas Hodges?

Or something rather. Bit out of character for Aaron but I'd still love him in a gay way if he did do it.

Also I would have given Hodges a much worse name, like Bender McFaggot or Jonny Cumguzzler.

Another boring episode I thought. Nothing much happened, too much time wasting. It's almost becoming like a soap. This season has deteriorated. Writers are struggling to fill the 24 hours, i get the feeling.

Nice to see Jack getting pwnd though for a change.
