This is what happens when you make everything else ultimately subordinate to creating a dynamic (mix of youth and experience) successful team , rather than thinking of the club as an account with high dividends and overdraft facility (as well as passport to swanky business emporiums and adjacent opportunities) which has sports teams attached to it and which you just 'brand' until you run out of road/credibility. And the latter is the future half this forum are ok with further condemning us to if 'needs be', rather than hurting their self-image.

Barca still could have done this without incurring some of the ridiculous debt they have, but at the end of the day, high losses on griezmann or Coutinho and the rest don't matter very much as long as they can invent new forms of credit by selling rights from thin air or ;'gambling' on a future through a deferred repayment (or series of them) which the growth of the club and interest will potentially, or even likely eat up...

So they‘ve already had future TV money (last summers famous levers) and now they’re having to use future transfer budgets to get signings in. They’re completely fecked aren’t they the money is going to completely run out anytime now

Probably the same as how I lived beyond my means in my college years...credit and forget it. They're going to worry about tomorrow's problems tomorrow.
 
Barca was the most iconic team for a while. Most of these kids grew up watching a great barca side so they dream about playing for us.
 
From the clips he doesn’t look that exciting. More like a (very low) budget Rooney than the typical Brazilian flair.

That’s obviously based on the extensive research of YouTube compilations.
