Will he go?

Would you want him to leave? ...and why?

(Hope this is the right forum)

He said he has never thought about leaving. No way should we sell him given the depth, or lack of it, in our CM.

What if they come up with, say, 10mil? I think United will take it. We already have a replacement in Cleverly.

Would need to buy a replacement. Don't think one of a calibure better than Carrick is out there.. De Rossi are the type of names that would have to come to mind.

Cleverley has very rarely ever played in central midfield. He's certainly nothing like Carrick. :wenger:

Villa can feck off. However, they're welcome to take Hargreaves off our hands if they'd like. :)

my bad. I never seen him play much really :D

Seeing him being rotated and not used in big games got me thinking that Fergie wll sell him if he wanted to go and a good price came along.

Bullshit.

We need him in Europe.

Look what he has accomplished with us. Fantastic player. Links our defense to attack exceptionally well. He can pass. His positioning is fantastic.

He has his faults (getting beat physically against Bayern for one of their goals was inexcusable) but there simply isn't anyone out there that is better than Carrick.

Great player and should start for England over Gareth Barry who is the most pointless piece of shit player around.

Please tell me you can see that these two statements make you an absolute moron right?

You've never seen Cleverley play much but you've decided he's a ready made replacement for Carrick?

It makes no sense to sell Carrick, and he'd not be interested in moving, it's a non story.

So villa are taking him and Owen?
Carrick would be a huge loss, he might not be the best player in the world but we're stronger when he's around, especially when you look at alternatives in midfield, both Giggs and Scholes will be gone in the next 12 -18 months too.

I´m not Carrick´s biggest fan anymore, too many bad games last season (especially that one against Bayern Munich at home), but he deserves a another chance and without a replacement for him would be a sale totally stupid.
I hope he´s hungry enough for more trophies, that´s sometimes a problem for players.

Since when is Carrick a winger and a attacking midfielder?

Sell them the broken bits of Hargo and then we can grow the remaining good bits into a brand new working model

We could stick Fletcher, Carrick and the working bits of Hargreaves together to create a world class defensive/box to box midfielder.

Would be terribly stupid to sell him - we won't do it obviously.

If it meant we got a tough midfield enforcer like Diarra from Real instead then you would have to consider it!! Thats something we have lacked a little especially in games this season where we let teams come back into games we should have finished off!

I can't see this happening unless we bring in a replacement. We just don't have enough cover in that area to be letting players go.

Could only see Carrick being sold in the summer - and only after we have seen what the story is with hargreaves' fitness and Anderson's form (and Carrick's for that matter).

I don't think he'll go. I think if Villa came up with 10m though, that it would be accepted provided we had some replacement (who is not Cleverly) coming in.

he's been out of form for 18 months

if between now and christmas he doesn't improve and given the fact he is 29 i would sell him

provided we have a replacement (rodwell/defour etc..) lined up

he's no good to us if he is lacking the confidence to put in consistent good performances

personally, i think (and hope) he will improve and make an impact
