Television Vikings: Valhalla

last winter I finished the original series so I thought this will do for the coming colder months, but it's pretty weak compared to the original. by weak I mean everything seems restrained, watered down for teens, almost like those vampires in Twilight movies. it's called Vikings, but it could easily be called Franks. they all look like generic warriors that could honestly be placed in any age and country. partly because of the lack of effort and attention to details, partly because of the low budget production. you can tell this is Netflix work as it has that obvious cheapness about it.

the original show had similarly wooden acting at times and almost insulting battle scenes in opening seasons where they made English soldiers look like disabled children, but... the show also gave you interesting characters to follow which Valhala simply lacks.

it's just so average in every way that is really obvious that very little effort went into it. seasons are short so finishing it won't be a problem, after that I probably won't remember a single thing about it.
