When you're facing Lyon you must know about Juninho's free kicks.The way he conceded the goal was a disgrace.Don't get me wrong,the strike was amazing but he never looked at the ball when Juninho hit and from the start he never knew what to do whereas he should know that the brazilian will aim the goalie any chance he can get.

If Valdes wasn't catalan he wouldnt be near that team. That's when you have to question that policy. If you arn't good enough you arn't good enough, doesn't matter if you have been at the club since birth.

I cannot think of a GK at a top European side inferior to him. Juninho's free kick was nice, it was well hit and it was accurately put in a good position, but Valdes made such a meal of it. I think he was in the net before the ball.
Busquets is a 20 year old central midfielder. Are you saying he's not good enough already? Has he been playing for 7 seasons in the first team? What exactly is your point?
He's only managed to keep little Touré and Keita out of the side.

I do believe you'll say that Touré and Keita are similar players but Keita can play in a more advanced role like in Sevilla and RCL
Valdes is an absolutely pathetic goalkeeper, I've seen him cost Barca over 30 goals over the last 4-5 years. He's not even a championship calibre goalkeeper ffs but it seems that Barca directors are intent on screwing their team by not getting a better goalkeeper.
And despite all their brilliance, I told you all that Barca could get knocked out before the Semis in the Champions League. They haven't been properly tested yet but if not Lyon, than one of the other sides in the CL will expose their absolutely rubbish defense. The fact that their 3 forwards don't give a flying feck about tracking back doesn't help either and if you can keep in check Xavi and Iniesta (and a team like us, Chelsea or Inter certainly can) than you have every chance to knock them out. And that Busquets lad is a pointless footballer, adds nothing to the team.

I've seen Busquets give them more than Toure and Keita. It's his first season, if he progresses like he can he'll be another Xavi in the making. I've seen him play very well and he's not in the team because he is Catalan. He was called up to the spain squad. Valdes can't get near the spain squad and has never had a cap. Basically Barca should have one of the best keepers in spain at least. Valdes isn't.
About Busquets I'm just saying....

What's the point of making a few good reflex saves if every game you concede a goal or two that a professional goalkeepers shouldn't?
He's a bit same like Lehmann in a way, they can come up with a great reflex save from time to time, only to see the ball gently go between their legs a few moments later.
I am convinced that Lehmann was the main reason at least for two of Arsenals knockouts in the CL. That season when he saved the penalty against Villareal only to feck them in the final was pretty funny from a neutral point of view.

I just found the comparison strange.
I'm just saying they should be looking to have "one" of the best in spain. He does make good stops but that's the difference between a decent keeper and a good keeper. Good keepers are consistent. It's no use being David James and making great saves only to chuck one in at the end losing the match.

Well, laugh you may, but why haven't Barcelona done anything about it? He's been with them years and judging by your post, every fan has known that he's average for years!
He had one solid season, and they happened to win that trophy called the Champions League... the reason he's not been ripped up is because this year Barca have been on cloud 9... only reason.
Isn't he only in the side because he is a solid keeper but the fact that he is Catalan gives him the edge as there sometimes seems to some sort of unwritten rule to have a quota of catalans in the Barca team.
Probably some sort of "hidden" reason indeed.
