Victor Osimhen

Agreed. Problem is that if Delap turns us down where do we go? Gyokeres seems Arsenal bound, Sesko and Ekiteke are hugely expensive and just as unproven, David is fairly crap and probably headed to Spain. Pickings are slim lads.
To the Ollie Watkins thread!

The most important bit out of this is that Ornstein is saying we have a roughly £100 transfer budget to buy Cunha and Delap (that's assuming the fees quoted for both are accurate), without needing to sell. If true, selling Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Shaw, and the removal of Eriksen and Lindelof's wages off the books could result in a pretty big summer.

This is my take too

That is the plan. Winning Europa league would add to that

Yeah that is biggest news for me, it’s well known Osimhen is looking for a payday so we were never going to be in contention.

Regarding the bold, it will be difficult to shift any of them due to wages but in particular, who do you think will buy a permanently injured Luke Shaw?

Did Ornstein say anything about Shaw? Missed it if so, but generally just think we keep him in the squad next season and if he's fit, great.

No I added Shaw. He's 29 and if we need cash, now is the time to sell - while he's actually fit and not too old to get a decent fee.

£100 ? , blooming eck, we're buggered.

Selling those guys is vital If we land Delap and Cunha it would go from a good summer window to an excellent one.

Would give us scope to push ahead for more recruitments and I would like the addition of a CM and GK.

£100 won't even cover my rent and we're meant to get Cunha and Delap with that. What are we buying? Their jerseys?

Damn there goes my hope. But the more worrying news was him saying we might just stick to Hojlund and Onana...

That makes me think we have kept tight lipped and he doesn't know. No chance we stick with Hojlund and likely we will look at GK options too.

Amorim's comments on Onana weren't those of someone who is fully convinced of his keeper, so I would hope we address that.

Let’s remember that Hojlund is our only striker for EL “glory”

It would be dumb to wreck host morale before the season has ended

He had his head turned with a big offer last summer but Napoli tried to fleece on the transfer fee. Allegedly also why Chelsea walked away, he wanted too much money.
Not surprised to hear that he’s going to go after the money.

Everyone assumes every player is dying to play for Manchester United. Osimehn had a HUGE offer from the Saudis during the summer. Delap and Gyokeres will probably have not only better financial offers, better teams will pursue them.

Can stomach him going to Saudi, however will be sick to my guts if he ends up in Premier League. No way do I allow myself to contemplate sticking with Hojlund this early in the summer.

Gyokeres seems Arsenal bound
Is our stock really that low that we couldn't attract him if we win the Europa and qualify for CL? We have managerial connection advantage and frankly, as bad as we are, we still win more trophies than Arsenal (hoping Arsenal don't win CL this year to silence us all).

It's not about not being able to attract him. We don't want to pay for him.

Yeah our stock is that low, also managerial connection seems to have zero sway at all
