Did you miss him let Richarlison bring the ball down on the edge of the area unchallenged and get a shot off that De Gea had to produce a great save for?

Didn’t you watch the game? He was pretty crap and all over the place like his partner, at fault for one of the goals unlike his partner. I’m amazed Jones can’t get a look in ahead of both of them, no way Pukki gets the freedom of the pitch numerous times.
It looked as he thought Telles, who was running back, would cover the side and then Lindelof pushed towards the ball holder. However Telles also turned in to the centre and no one picked up the side.
If you for some reason believe the numbers of progressive carries and passes are important, you should not include matches for Real Madrid or national teams and instead compare games for the same team. Then you’ll find that Varane and Lindelof have basically the same stats and Harry has still higher. However anybody who has watched the games can see how there is often no point with Harry’s progressive play. Instead of making a fast pass like everybody else, he trots forward slowly with the ball and gives it to someone he could have passed four second earlier. It also rarely creates any chances and that can also be seen in the stats where he is among the worst CBs when it comes to xG assisting and through balls in behind the opponents back line, while Lindelof creates much more ( 67 percentile and 98 percentile in those stats. )
His progressive ball games are poor and defensively is also not offering anything. Not sure how he's going to fit in since he doesn't offer both aspects.
I mean, it's not like Varane and Maguire done amazing. However, in comparison to Lindelof, Lindelof is just worst. He's good at hiding from being responsible to trick people's eye test that it was others fault but the stats don't lie on this that he doesn't offer much. I'm expecting his stats to be similar as Maguire and Varane due to playing in the same team but his stats are actually much worse.
If you look at matches for United, Varane and Lindelof have pretty much the same number of progressive passes and carries. However if you look at how much our CBs create offensively with their passes, Lindelof has the best stats, Varane is in the middle and Maguire worst.
Ok so their progressive passes and carries are pretty much the same but it’s just Varane offers more in defensive aspect while Lindelof offers nothing in defensive aspect. That’s back to my original point, lindelof offers worse in the same team.
