Im pointing out that he has a weakness that most other players have and am wondering why you had to point out Verons, and not for example Giggs onesidedness.

fecks sake Murt, what are you? The self appointed defender of everything United no matter what? If you can't have a healthy debate about anything United, and all I've said was he hasn't got much of a left foot btw I haven't slagged him off (anyone would think he was your girlfriend or something) then why do you even bother coming on this site?

You just lie in wait for anyone who doesn't see everything through your rose tinted glasses and who actually believes that United players aren't faultless gods so that you can step in like some kind of minder and shout us all down for daring to say it. What's left to talk about Murt??

All you said is that he didnt have much of a left foot. Again, why just Veron when its common knowledge that most players are useless on their bad foot?
I never asked you to say he had a great left foot or never claimed so myself, i just find it peculiar that Veron is singled out, nothing to do with me rose tinted glasses.
I dont lie in wait for anyone either, Veron has been getting unfair criticism for 12 months now. If its an open debate your after im the one opening it up by saying that hes not the only one weak on his bad foot.
Same could be said of my defence of the 4411 system. Nothing to do with me Pink glasses but because most ppl blamb that for last seasons failure, the fact that we lost 7 games as 442 tells another story.

Veron because I happened to notice during the Middlesborough match especially that he couldn't do a lot with it. We all know Giggs doesn't have a right foot and doesn't finish well, that Andy Cole scuffed chances. Why does it irk you that I mention Veron? The criticism isn't unfair. He hasn't played well, any fool can see that. Having said that I'm happy to have him in the squad in the hope that he finds his feet and turns it on for us. But he's a 28m player whose performances and weaknesses are not going to be ignored especially in his first season or two - we're getting to know him. I now know that his left foot isn't much cop, much like I know what I've said earlier about Giggs. What pisses me off is that you then come along and accuse me of "slagging him off". I find that just a little bit of an overreaction frankly.

I wasn't after a debate about one footed players Murt, I was after a few comments about Veron's left foot.

"Verons left foot, anyone seen it?". To me thats slagging him. A while ago we had a similar post in the football forum "Heskeys close controll, has anyone seen it", something like that anyway which of course was slagging Heskey.

Ok you noticed it on Tuesday night but in my eyes theirs 11 players out there, every week, with weaknesses and Verons is the one
highlighted. Of course im going to defend him if i see him being singled out yet again for is weaknesses.
I think your the one overreacting btw, all i said was that most of our players (and indeed all players) are one sided and that as usual Veron is the one singled out.

I take issue with the assertion that I am slagging him off. I find that a ridiculous notion frankly even your notion that Heskey is being slagged off is daft. Slagging people off is what happens at school amongst excessively hormonal teenagers. As for your suggestion that once again it's Veron bearing the brunt that's bollox too - Neville has had his fair share recently, so has Giggs and so has Barthez. Hence, YOUR overreaction.

What overreaction? Alls i said was that hes not the only one and its typical that its him thats singled out. I didnt call for you to be banned or send you a virus <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />
If Neville or Giggs were singled out as being one sided i would have defended them aswell. I wouldnt have claimed that their was a "vendetta" against them as their isnt. The criticism of Veron has quitened down slightly lately but you have to admit if you were to ask your average fan why we faired poorly last season he/she would say Veron, which imo is unfair.
The title of this topic and the heskey one are similar and imo both were being slagged off. For the record i of course agree that Veron is weak on his left.
