Veron's left foot

Agreed!

Did you see him on the left flank yesterday at times..he wanted to cross but had to go to his right foot and his cross ended up tame..

But why was Veron on the left flank in the first place? That's where Giggs should be. Stick to the wings Ryan.

Well switching positions during a match is not a bad idea, especially as we seem to lack invention so desperately.

Giggs seems to be everywhere but the left thesedays.

Not when you haven't got a left foot to make the cross it's not!

Reuters:
The Wild Old Trafford Pigeons Association (WOTPA)has issued a legal notice preventing Veron to play with his left foot... up to now he's killed around 500 pigeons. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Personally, I was quite shocked to see that Beckham has found his left foot... Did you see that screamer of a goal he scored with his left recently?

Its a bit of a worry when a £28.1 million player is so one sided.
It makes you wonder how much Bobby Charlton would have worth if he'd been playing now

Don't laugh. I work in a building that apparently 'blinds' birds and they collide into it.

I thought it was a myth until I saw one emergency landing today!

I am sure if Beckham found himself down the left, he would cut it back and cross with his right. Would we question him?

Yes but it's his. It's not available for loan.

Not quite true that

Beckham was always criticised for being too right-footed earlier in his career but I feel in the last 2-3 years he has worked really hard on this and it's not too rare to see him making very good crosses with his left these days..

I agree that Veron should improve his left foot abilities as what David Beckham and Roberto Carlos did.

Great, So if Roberto Carlos got a left foot so good why can't Veron?

Although I also agree someone too-footed is an added bonus, but at the end it's skill and ability which are the most important. Diego Maradona, while only has left foot, is better than nearly every footballer who play with two foot in the history.

If Veron were half the player Maradona was I wouldn't have started the thread.

"If Veron were half the player Maradona was I wouldn't have started the thread."

True, but you can say that about almost every footballer in history too. No doubt that Maradona was at least among the 5 greatest players ever. Sadly he is also one of the most stupid off the pitch too.

Well, my point is that Maradona being one footed isn't particularly relevant to this thread in my opinion.

The point I want to make is that Maradona was not one footed. He could use his right, his head, and occassionally his hand.

Now carry on.

My next point is that aside both being Argentinian midfielders the two have little in common.

Is anyone really bothered that Veron is one footed?

Maradona and Pele were both one footed as well, doesn't make any difference to be honest.

As long as he puts the work rate in and plays clever and intelligent passes then I'm not arsed.

How many of the players in our squad are 2 footed?
Unusual that ppl pick on Veron

An observation, it was just an observation. fecks sake.
