veron th e fonal confirmation!!!!! is staying unless he is not wanted!!!!!

I for one am ecstatic that Veron has shown some committment to Utd and Fergie and wants to win trophies......I'm a little disappointed that he is slagging some of his team-mates though...team spirit wins lots of trophies....

As for lover of Football....from Perth Australia...Are you one of those people Australians (one's born there) call....CHICKEN RUNNERS. ;)

TTR - You think Veron's barbs were aimed at Keano? Keano was injured at the end of the season. The only player I can think of offhand who picked up a suspension at the end of the season was Scholes. I'm sure some of you will remember better than me who did.

Do you think the rumours of Keano grabbing Veron by the neck were true? Think there might be a grudge there?

no doubt in my mind that Veron is one of the best midfielders in the world.

when united signed him last season, i was still quite shocked and in state of disbelief that United has finally signed a real true World Class player. he's a constant performer and his work rate was pretty high, and i cant see why ppl called him lazy.. blah blah.

i'm sure Ruud fared a little better cause he's a stirker. A striker's job is to score goals and he has done that. but look at the chances he had earlier on. he looked terrible. he couldn't take advantage of his height, his dribbling is poor, and he is only good at shielding and holding up the ball, more like a heskey style and what a bore to watch.

veron, as a midfielder should be the one who fights for the ball, send in through balls and crosses, IMO he has done well. let's hope he repays Fergie's gratitude and prove to the world that he was and still is the best in the world.

he was absolutely super at lazio, next season he will again, at Old Trafford.

Seba doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges and Keano has said what a really nice fellah he is; Keano doesn't often say shit unless he means it.

Like I said, I think he's just sick of all the dwelling on last season, he's said he want to play for United, pay back SAF for his loyalty and show us what he can do, that's enough for me. If he is injury free and still plays like shit up 'till Christmas then I'll be the first to say get rid.

Last season is history, let's move on.

Precisely..

Fact: Veron was v expensive & a lot was expected of him...
Fact: despite the many excuses/reasons put forward ad nauseum his overall season was poor....
Fact: he is staying & he will either redeem himself or confirm to his critics that he really was not worth the outlay

Give him the chance to try, at least eh. He may just do something remarkable this season

If you mean he's got until Christmas or he'll be leaving, that's Fergie's choice, not yours. I'll back Fergie's choice over ANY fan's any time.

If you mean he should be given until Christmas by the fans I agree.

He was a star at Lazio and worshipped by the fans. How do we want our stars to think about us when they leave? Imagine if a player of the stature of Keano, Becks, or Giggsy left and struggled to find form at his new club. If the fans became critical wouldn't the player look back at the adulation received at United? Seb is in that situation.

His words are often manipulated by the press. He has been harshly criticised, even ridiculed because he cost 28.1 million, even though he didn't set the price.

Despite this, he has repeatedly said he will see out his contact. He says he has a great debt to Fergie and wants to repay it. Fergie says that Seb has the ability to improve us. I trust Fergie's judgement because he has proven me wrong so often before. I hope Seb has a blinder of a season, shows us why he was bought and shuts up the critics. We should back all players 100% - provided they want to be here.
