were magnificent today....

Seba's passing was out of this world, i think it was his best performance for United.. he's getting better and better..

Fab saved us..not for the first time this season..... he's proved again that he's one of the best around..

plus, good to see Becks back, his finish was sublime,he looked more like his normal self.

PS keane and veron may work after all. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

You are pathetic.... Veron and Fab were magnificant, Becks was only a "plus", with a sublime finish worths to mention....

For gods sake, Beckham made one goal and scored one, made couples of nice crosses, won a dozen headers as if he was a tower striker, and was the most diligent player on the field. Without his industrious Veron's passes just won't find a target to pass. How can you start to give a more fair appreciation to him?

why do beckham fans always have to turn everything into a veron versus becks comp?

veron and fab were the best two players today...hence this thread.

just feck off you muppet.

get your own thread.

wanker <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

everyone has seba as MOM. TV presenters... radio presenters...just about all the people who watched the match.

except one glory hunting beckham lover.

I haven't compared Veron with becks. I only pointed out some points to show why Becks worth a praise. If you really hate Beckham so that you won't give him the praise he deserved that's your freedom. But don't keep branding people everything just because they said the truth. i'm a Manchester United supporter, and nothing else.

why would a UNITED fan hate becks?

I also don't think it should, but it have been the case.

When Becks just had his first full match after the injury, there were half dozen threads slagging off him. Overrated, crap, poor skill, poor passing, one trick pony....

When our player just came back from injury you'd expect some support and encouragement from your own fans. But when what you got was that slagging storm I wonder if it is not "hatred" then what is it.

and when RVN had an average game you said he was like a first division player

Oh you got me.... ;)

But I'm just saying that he looked like a first division player in THAT match. Actually my main purpose of that thread is to express why we must get at least one more new striker. But after I post it many people focus on the topic name "inconsistent ruud" and think it is a ruud slagging thread. I must say that it is not the truth and it's never my real purpose for that thread. I have also applogized in that thread if people really think I'm knocking ruud.

you said....sometimes he looks like a world class player, other times a first div player....you also made another daft comment that he was inconsistent.. which made total sense..seeing as he nearly averages 1 in 1.

anyway as for you hatred? that doesn't deserve a reply.

i said, Becks was back to his normal self...... which means he was class.

anyway, he wasn't the best today... Veron was..who was truly awesome... followed by FAB.

why do i bother with the friggin' muppet get-along gang.

Yep, they were magnificent, and Beckham played well too. <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" /> And so did O'Shea.

Wat do u want Becks to do????.....score a hat-trick every game and get 10 assists.......Veron and Becks both are my MOM...i couldn't choose between them....but please stop slagging Becks off all the time...

do we really look for things to argue about? we've just won a game for christ's sake! enjoy it. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Seba was phenomenal and his passing and vision were superb. It's wasn't just the creative part of his game that I liked though. He's playing with more aggression and I loved seeing him charge in with tackles yesterday. Still can hardly believe this is the same player I've been watching for over a year. He was my MOM.

Fab was unbelievable...again. How many times has he saved us this last month? I was at Fab's end of the pitch in the 2nd half and both times I was sure the ball was going into the back of the net. That second save especially...how he got enough on that ball to keep it from going into the back of the net I don't know. But I shouldn't be surprised. In the last few weeks, he's been doing it for us week-in, week-out.

As for Becks, I thought he got stronger and stronger as the match went along. Nice to see those crosses coming from him again. And that goal, even though at the time, it felt like it took an eternity for him to shoot, it was a beauty. After his long enforced lay-off, if this is going to be the starting points for Becks, I think we’ve got a lot to look forward to.

But for me, what was significant wasn’t only that Becks and Seba played well, but that they played well together, and they actually complemented each other on the pitch. It shouldn't be an either/or situation with Becks/Seba. They play in different positions, and they can BOTH thrive in the team, like they did today.

we lacked control in the middle of the park last 2 matches, mainly because Keano returned as the boss of midfield, this (birmingham) match Keano kind of sat back and let Veron control midfield, which he was brilliant at.

Beckham = best crosser in EPL, maybe in the world, when he crosses like that, not too bad at freekicks as well (but depends on the position).

Veron = Beckham cannot even come close to some of the passing, skill and vison that Veron has, Veron is better at corners, and some freekicks (again depends which side) as he has more speed in his shot, he is a better finisher than Beckham (how many times have you seen him miss when 1 on 1 with keeper.

Conclusion two bloody different types of players = End of Story.

I'm not a Beckham fan or a Veron fan i'm United fan = end of story.

Spot on  One of the most urgent thing for us to do is to find a way for Veron, Keano and Beckham to work together. Yesterday it showed an excellent example how should be done: Veron be the playmaker to pull the strings, Keano set back to defend and burst forward at the right moment, while Beckham control the whole right side and get forward to win headers and cross the ball.

just watched veron again on sky sports.. and like Red15 said he was indeed phenomenal... i've not seen passing like that for ages... perhaps the best midfield performance this year in the PL... Big Fat Ron seems to thinks so. ;)

great stuff.

One slight thing I'd disagree with on their is their goal scoring, Beckham is considerably the better goal scorer, as their career records show.

Normally Becks's form coincides with a glut of glorious goals. Hopefully yesterday's was just the start!

There was a bit of crowding going on whenever Becks moved into the centre. I thought that Becks stayed out on the wing a bit more this match, and only went in when Veron seemed to fade a bit. That's the way it should be.

the best thing to watch is the combination between seba and keano began to sparks. I think two of them will be the heart of the team to win the remaining game and regain the title as well.

Beckham played welll but there was another player who played better.
Why do Beckham fans get so upset when someone dares to suggest that their may be other players who are as good as him.
Bex wasnt mom yesterday, he probably will be the next day, spread you support out a little bit evener.

Seba was MOM. Beckham was very good but JuanMan was on another planet. :)

Because you're a well known biased Veron fans :)

When Veron was poor throughout the whole last season, you support him unconditionally and flame every critizers. But when Beckham was being knocked earlier when he just back from injury, you not only didn't protect him, but even join the gang to knock him.

When have i knocked Beckham?

Just because i dont wear a sarong and think hes the worlds nr 1 doesnt mean i dont think hes a great player.
I havnt "protected" him as he doesnt need it, unlike Veron hes rarely singled out for criticism, hes the other end of the spectrum.

I agree with u on that one..he should take a few more shots on goal...but his pass to silvestre 4 the 1st goal was phenomenal....looking one side and passing the other...and his pass 4 the second goal was also awesome..
