the feckin US news channels are not even running a proper story about it at the moment
amazing performance.
too bad about Spearmon though
Spearmon, I feel sorry for him and can't stop finding it funny though
really bad luck but he acted like a spastic
A spastic?
feck me if he hadn't just thought he'd won an olympic bronze medal. Anyone would go mental, and quite rightly too!!!
What did he actually do, I had to switch off after I saw him so elated and heard he was disqualified yet hadn't realised yet. I didn't want to see him shatter.
I AM IN AWE.
We have just witnessed history in the making. This guy will become the best ever. What an absolute legend!
His 100m is unreal, just fecking unreal.
Michael Johnson knew his record would be broken one day, i'm sure he's happy it was done by someone as competant as Bolt.
And finally he gave it his all today, should satisfy some of the moaners
The only thing that worries me about Bolt's performances, other than them being incredible, is the performances of the rest of the Jamaican runners.
They had a one-two-three in the Women's 100m and about five minutes ago a Jamaican woman won the 400m hurdles in a new olympic record.
mmm....
One of his feet stepped on the line separating the lanes.
So was he disqualified?
(BEIJING, August 20) -- Jamaican Usain Bolt set a new world record of 19.30 seconds in the Men's 200m final to take the gold medal in this event on August 20, at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Bolt has become the second man in history to sweep the 100m / 200m sprint double at the same Olympic Games, after Carl Lewis of the United States attained the achievement in Los Angeles in 1984.
Churandy Martina of the Netherlands Antilles took silver with a nation's best time of 19.82 seconds, holding off bronze medalist Shawn Crawford from the United States at 19.96 seconds.
He just did mate.
Best two moments of the Olympics and I get to read them here on the Cafe.........thanks NBC, you cnuts.
I mean like go down in history as the best of all time ever in the history of the world, type ever.
Was the American TV coverage the same when the likes of Maurice Greene and further back Michael Johnson were dominating?
As long as he doesn't let the success get to his head, and sweep the medals again in London, he will definitely go down as the best ever in my eyes.
do you really need to ask that?????
