He just jogged to first place in the semi's again. Had an incredible start and the American next to him was running hard, but they were side by side and Bolt slowed to a jog in the end.

If this guy doesn't take drugs then he is the most incredible sprinter I have ever seen. 200m finals to come on later today if i heard correctly.
 
The Yanks comentators have been very hard on him saying he's disrespectful to the Olympics and the other runners... feck them, if I was that fast I'd be cockey as feck too.
 
If I could with the 100 metres with my lace undone and running sideways, still breaking a world record - hell yeah I'd do that too.

America only think its disrespectful because it isn't one of their athletes doing it.

I don't think it's disrespectful. It only hurt him in the long run. Still an amazing athlete.
 
Give the guy a break! He's only 21, and it was his first medal ever, plus he still had another race to prepare for, it's understandable for him to slow down when he's already left everyone else in the dust.

I'll be pissed if he doesn't go all out today though.

Precisely, they feel they should have a divine right to win all sprint events, due to their history in this competition.

Just can't hack the fact they've been comprehensively beaten by Bolt, and face the prospect of not seeing another 100M/200M gold in a long time.

was Bubka cocky for breaking WR so many times?
if Bolt can break the 100m/200m record 5 times, why shouldn't he do it?
I just love the guy, the Yanks comentators are just jealous, feck them

p.s. he could easily do 9.50 seconds, and he'll do it some time in the future, and he'll break the 200m record today, no doubt

As somebody has made me aware already he does promote a anti drugs campain and despite the fact that the drug testing policy in the carribean is a joke he does willingly submit himself to be tested at any point.

Besides if you were on drugs wouldn't you want to make it look like you were stretching every muscle to win.:)
 
You reckon, if he ran flat out, and seeing as he actually speeds up after 100metres.. he could go sub 19 seconds?
 
Ah feck that's fast - But if anyone can do it, it's probably Bolt. Hopefully he decides to show us how fast he really is.
 
I reckon he will smash the record.
