Us Open 2012

Anyways will be interesting to see how Nadals takes up this challenge. Murray has removed a major barrier, he will be a bigger force next season.

Djokovic is like Vettel. He comes across very humble in interviews, but because he is as competitive as they come, people don't seem to like him for it on this forum.

I must admit, i hate Vettel for all his domination as well

He seems a very nice guy and very humble in the media, but he is a bellend on court.

Djokovic just has one of those really punchable smug faces which doesn't help him to be honest.

Hope that really stings for those who think he's a c**t.

Get it right up ye.

Olympic champion and US open champion in the space of a couple of months.

I'd credit it to Murray playing top stuff and getting over the mental barrier.

Btw congrats on Gio as well, who as I remember betted on Murray to win this before the tourney started. Enjoy your winnings.

I'm the extreme negativity that is needed to counter balance the wank you'll read tomorrow.

Being a good tennis player doesn't mean you are not a cnut.

Greg Rusedski's getting a bit carried away. He basically wants to say they've elevated tennis to new levels but he knows how daft it would sound.

Oh, as I say that Annabel Croft just said they'd elevated tennis to a new level. Good stuff. You've been Sky-ed, Andy.

Sky as usual going over the top I see.

That was a good match, but nowhere near the levels of some of Federer-Nadal classics.

anyway I'm going to hit the sack, then go to bed.

Probably have a good wank when I wake up tomorrow too just thinking about the past couple of months. Cheers

Sky had a montage at the start, basicially implying that if Murray won this tournament he could become as great as Ali, Messi, Woods, Owens, Bolt. This jingoistic nonsense added to his personality makes him incredibly easy to hate for me

So impressed with the way he won it. The smart money was on Djokovic winning the last set at a canter and he turned it around completely.

I also enjoyed Djokovic at the end doing exactly what many of Murray's detractors state as the reason they dislike him.

Did I hear right? Rusedski now making shit up.

"Packed stadium. Not a seat available."

Er...except for all those empty seats.

I'm glad you are so upset Lynk, you miserable shit. Displaying the traits you purportedly hate Murray for, the irony.

You seem to care more about me being "upset" than Murray winning the grand slam.

Came off class as usual in that interview. I just don't understand how people could hate him.

if I was Murray I would have come out my shell a wee bit, stuck two fingers up to the camera and said this is for the bitter c**ts who never wanted to see this moment

Especially you, Lynk! :nervous:

Just want to say, I'm really drunk at the moment, and I have not read this thread through the match, I was at a pub.

But anyway, for those who doubt Murray, and for those who criticise him unreasonably...

Go feck yourself.

Just go feck yourself feck sake.

Everyone else can revel in his success, except yous you pessimistic/twatISH fecks.

Go Murray. Oh feck im so drunk. Still, The Big 3 becomes the Big 4!

Tbh, Andy seemed a bit stunned, I thought. Don't think he can take it in at all yet.
