Unsigned Bands Thread

Blameshift, still surprised they are unsigned.

Though admittedly this is a very, very poor sound quality video, and I suspect they won't be to most people on here's taste (not really to my tatse too much either). However bands like Paramore etc are always topping the charts, and Blameshift's music is better than most female fronted bands. Unfortunately this is the only song I can find on youtube, usually Jenny is usually the main vocalist.

I pre-ordered their album a month or so before it came out (I always buy albums of unsigned bands I like) and they sent me a t-shirt and some letter saying I was one of the first people in the UK to purchase the album. Awesome.

Time to bump this.

Not a "band" as such but she is unsigned and this chick has an incredible voice. She's gonna be supporting my wee cousin's band, later this year. Lucky him :)

Good call Poggy. I personally despise her singing style but she has hit the big time as you predicted.

Breaking Tunes - IX 2 old school mates in this band. They've supported Billy Talent, New Found Glory and The Undertones. Haven't recorded anything in a while though.

Heathers on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos Another two friends of mine. Twin girls from Greystones who've risen to fame of sorts after their song Remember When was used in a recent Discover Ireland ad. As of yet unsigned I don't think but I may be wrong.

Who are your wee cousin's band anyway?

My mate's band, Swords. Being this unplugged (of sorts) doesn't really suit them but they're cracking live.

Good to see they're still letting any old riff raff on the Balcony.

This is going to sound odd but that song got better the less I paid attention to it.

First 30 seconds were horrible. Her voice was good but the music still grated on me. Then I started reading something else and found myself tapping my foot to it.

6.5/10. Could grow on me though.

Interesting.

Tbh, it's not the sort of thing I'd necessarily listen to myself usually.

Track three's not bad, not keen on the others though.

Sorcha Richardson

This girl lived across the road from me for almost 20 years, studies in New York now and last year was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. She's on the mend again and back playing music. Not the strongest voice, but the girl sure can pen a song.
