I feel like both sides would be better if they traded Pirlo for Zito

I see, yeah, not much to do with either of them then.
The trouble is looking at the two formations P-nut is really bad match up for you. Both Maicon and Marcelo would be questioned in all time sense being attacking full backs, with Marcelo getting little help from Cristiano. However without true wingers on your side it becames a more narrow formation which helps P-nut, as he has a good core defensive wise.
That and Gascoigne who won't get much love here to exploit Pirlo at DLP position is probably why most are voting P-nut(including me).
yeah maybe is the formation as Beckham is up the pitch and I'd really liked Modric as RCM.
Would've loved a plain 4-4-2 with Schweiny and Modric with Keegan/Mbappe up front. Wouldn't call it boring and with Cristiano tucking in would be a nice 4-4-2 forming into 4-3-3

Yeah it was a tough decision. I wrote about 4 different formations out in my chat, before deciding on this to counter R9 having space in behind Vidic.

Fair mate, thanks for your comments. I didn’t expect to win this match and knew the lack of wingers would be brought up.
Theres another game on right now with 2 narrow attacks all be it 352 but width doesn’t even get mentioned.
I'd probably have voted for @Zlatan 7 in that scenario. Both teams have a slightly weird midfield IMO. The reason I voted for P-Nut was mostly due to CR7 here. If he was up against someone better, I might have voted differently. I keep wondering how Lahm might have done against CR7 with potentially a better CB than Hierro alongside him.

With Fenomeno in you can neglect a bit the width issue, as he's someone who would stretch the pitch on his own.
The issue is not having no designated wingers IMO, rather than not being able to exploit P-nut attacking fullbacks and Pirlo in the hole.
It's normal with luck based drafts not being able to quite tune your team the way you want and making compromises. You do have a big advantage in the GK area but with experience GK's are rarely seen as decisive figures here, if ever.
I agree he's not as big a game changer as he should be. Think every time I've had him I've lost first round
As Enigma says it is all about match up. If both teams are lacking width then, none of them can exploit that. Here you've got a narrow formation against 2 attacking full backs with wingers perfectly set up to use them to their maximum.
Just re read through the thread now I’ve had chance to sit down and not just fleeting glances at my phone.

Good game @P-Nut i knew is would always be struggling here, great team you have there with some minor tweaking. I just realised we played each other first round of the last draft so you had a quick revenge All the best in the next round.
The lack of wingers clearly hurt me. My first pic of the draft I kind of had to pick weah due to card played etc, then 2nd card was draw 4 and I couldn’t resist ronaldo. From there with two up top I didn’t want to play 442 so only thing I could think of was to find a ten for behind those 2 and try to get a strong ass midfield behind them and two quality wingbacks, the thought of wingers went out of the window and the cards just wouldn’t get me my wingbacks I just played it really badly from the start.
Enjoyed it though, thanks to all who set it up and run it

It's a shame you don't get to play Weah Ronaldo in next game as intended. As soon as I saw that during drafting, Ro Ro came to mind stylistically.
Yes mate, I agree, I looked into how they’d play throughout the draft and was excited by it. Then I had to find a non WC player late on and it had to be Cantona, that threw a major spanner in the works, not that I thought he’d be better there but more I couldn’t leave him out.

Don't really see that much of an imbalance with Pnut's midfield. Of course it isn't Seedorf and Gattuso partnering him but I like the inventive setup here. Being a sucker for uber creative setups I definitely endorse it especially with Cristiano at the helm.
The one guy who might have to curb his forward game to provide a better defense here is Bastian but you couldn't ask for a more versatile team player to do that job.

Your players are great.
Now, I expected more hard-working or versatile players instead of Zito and Yaya touré.
In terms of profile and abilities, some guys like Figo, Pires, Mendieta, Di Maria, Wiltord, Giggs, Beckham, Seedorf, Camoranesi, Dani Alves....

Yep that’s it.Thanks for your input, I knew I made a mistake with a the midfield and wasn’t really happy with it. I thought toure would be ok box to box, I know he has his moments though. And I chose Zito to have a more defensive mid in there, maybe that was wrong and I admittedly I need to watch more.

It's strange how low he's rated. It's due to those lazy patches in games, on top for he carried City at times.

Excellent!! The "I don't know shit" period is longer in my case.It's always better to search the player and see earlier reaction before picking him. Most have already been picked and debated before.
